    I'm cautious about this, because they seem to be basing all their speculation on this report, which seemed to have maybe been debunked by Hasbro's announcement that there wouldn't be any Rogue One toys at the 2016 NY Toy Fair. Why would Hasbro put out Rogue One toys in Nuremberg but not NY?

    But yeah, Thrawn would be cool.

    I haven't watched the video, so my apologies if my post doesn't add much to the topic, but who play Thrawn for the film? I feel we might have heard more rumors about that by this point. And a second thought: How would he fit into the story based off the rumors we've heard?

    I'm not sure I like the poll. thrawn should have red eyes and blue skin/hair, but not be in rogue 1.

    The rumor is that Thrawn might be Ben Mendelsohn's character. But it doesn't seem to be based on much at this point. I could see his character having some similarities to Thrawn, though (without actually BEING Thrawn).

    The key here is "looks like Admiral Thrawn, but without blue skin." That sounds like a human imperial in a white uniform and the reporter just thinks of it as a "Thrawn" thing.

    Neuremberg is one of the biggest toy fairs in the world. I think it had something to do with the Lego presentation. As you know Lego is Danish, they prefer the European market over the american one, because it's cheaper for them to sell and promote new products. Lego did offer concrete information on Rogue One products. Perhaps Hasbro tailed along with Lego's big reveals, so Disney decided on Neuremberg. They also showed some of the costumes from Rogue One there. But it is for the most part a closed event. Especially the product reveals.     That assumes that that the reporter knew how thrawn dressed. When I heard the rumor I thought "so a generic human male?".

    Well, Thrawn is rumored to show up in Rebels Season 3, which is expected to be a few more years closer to ANH. So, we'll see what happens here. There's always a chance, but I don't think it will happen.

    Thrawn had his own book trilogy.
    I guess characters like Mara Jade, Gilead Pellaeon, Talon Karrde will not show up in Rogue One.
    They don't fit in a story before ANH - they are post ROTJ book characters.

    Well, I'm a Mara Jade fan...not so much Thrawn, BUT as much as I'd love to see her (and this goes for Thrawn as well) in the new canon, I'd be disappointed to see her stray from her original storyline.....and she's dead

    With that, I believe that we'll see a "like representation" of these characters that we'll recognize right away, but I think Disney/LFL will be very careful not to completely uproot the originals and wipe their history clean for the sake of the newer post-ROTJ canon otherwise people will scream in disgust because "their" weren't represented.

    As far as the pre-ANH canon, I think it would be fine, as their appearances would be somewhat of a side-story that we never heard, and you can be sure that those fans would be DELIGHTED to not only see their favorites brought back into the canon-fold, but to actually see them on screen (television or otherwise) would be talked about for years to come. :)

    well I rather have them do something with the character archetypes than just copy thrawn from Legacy universe. I think they should leave the legacy universe as it is and just come up with new characters. Those new characters may have some aesthetics and personality traits in common with those legacy characters, but they shouldn't be exactly the same. It might also be that some characters, like thrawn are kept the same as characters, but are being provided new stories to fit the new canon.

    As for Thrawn's colour (lol), I never like Thrawn's aesthetics. I didn't like the blue skin and red eyes. I always imagined him as a normal human when I read the books and just ignored the visual description. Therefore I wouldn't bother if they changed him into a normal human being, though it would be an abomination if they would make him pink...like Mace Windu's lightsabre....just WTF :p

    Mace Windu's lightsaber is purple, FYI ;) and I believe that if they do bring in THrawn then they might call him something different .

    With the Yondu character from "Guardians of the Galaxy" having blue skin I think it makes it less likely for a Thrawn-type character to have blue skin.

    But nah, I'd say there's more of a chance you see Darth Revan before Admiral Thrawn. And I have a lottery ticket here with about the same odds as Revan in that equation.
