Top things you want to see in Ep 8

Glad to know I'm not the only one in this one hehe.

So my top things:
1. Luke being a badass and wise jedi.
2. Epic space battles.
3. No more planet destroyer super weapons.
4. More alien like planets.
5. More context of the galactic political situation. A little bit won't do any harm.
6. Knights of Ren.
7. More badass Kylo Ren.
8. And of course Stormpilot all the way!

 

Luke fighting.
Kylo Ren history.
Kylo Ren being a badass.
Knights Of Ren.
Alot more Snoke.
New wardrobe for Rey.
Less Finn.

I agree with more Poe and Snoke in the flesh. I also want to see Finn as a full-blown Resistance field leader/commander, more Leia, more Finn/Rey romance, and more Rey/Kylo Ren dialogue (I loved the interrogation scene on TFA) . I don't care a lot about Luke or Phasma and hope they don't get too much screen time.

 

1. I'd like to see Snoke training Kylo. We haven't seen a ton of dark side training; I wonder how it would compare to the training from Obi-Wan and Yoda.

2. A darker tone like ESB, but a different and dynamic story structure, unexpected twists.

3. New ships, creatures, planets/environments. Particularly new characters.

4. A slower pace; TFA was a little rushed

5. Poe, Maz, Finn, Phasma being developed on and having important roles in the story

6. Maybe Finn trying to find his family?

7. Romance; there has always been romance in SW

2. The first jedi
3. Backstory and real power of Snoke
4. Rey's training
5. Finn doing epic things without the force (proving you dont have to be jedi to be a hero)
6. More about the political state of the galaxy

Sorry I multi-quoted you guys, but you all mirrored a lot of the same things I want to see.

Snoke:

For sure better CGI or practical... but yeah in the flesh I think will be much better. I know this sounds weird... but I'd like to see him in an outdoor setting with natural sunlight. He's got all those groovy dents on the left side of his face, it would be cool to see cast shadows on those surfaces (the art nerd in me).

I'm *very* curious to see Rian Johnson's take on Snoke... if you've guys have seen his work you know he can go dark.

As for Rey's backstory & Maz:

I'm sure we'll get some more of those force flashbacks. If I was Rian & JJ was screening TFA for me & I saw that flashback scene I'd be like "I want to do more of that!". (I'm guessing JJ screened the film for him several times?). Think about how much Luke was developed over 8... I can only imagine how much cooler Rey will be.

Maz... "that's a story for another time" I mean... how could you not expand on that in later films? At first I wasn't too impressed with the character, but now I think she's a lot more interesting.

If you guys are planning to see it again... watch what Rey is eating in the cantina scene... it looks like something very yummy & weird!

Planets:

Ditto on all counts... I was a little disappointed by the un-exoticness of the worlds. Heck, the skellig island shot was pretty much completely unaltered from reality... if I want to go to a Star Wars planet... now all I need is a few thousand bucks to fly to Ireland!

If they do introduce an exotic planet... I don't want to see anything like what we've already seen in other films, & I mean any of 'em!

DuckFace:

1. I'm sure we'll find out which parents, but I'm still hoping some secrets are preserved for 9.
2. Kinghts of Ren getting their ass handed to them by Luke & Rey would be great. I hope they got sabers too.
3. Leia was like the king of hugs in TFA!
4. Yes.
5. & C3P0 ! But yeah definitely more Phasma... anyone else have a feeling she's going to switch sides to the resistance?
6. Ditto.
7. I don't care about the planet names but I'm totally with you about showing off some crazy topography.

I'm sure it will be darker Johnson had some good twists in his last few films, & I'm sure He's very cognizant of that for his story.

New ships for sure! & better designed... I felt like the designs for this movie were kinda lame (though the updated Star Destroyers looked very cool)
