    As much as I like the behind the scenes reel, it's 2-plus minute long teaser/trailer or bust for me. They've been in post on this film for nearly 10 months, it's time to reward the fans for their patience.

    I understand the need for secrecy, but it almost seems like we're being discouraged from having any interest what with so little official news or info having been released. So all we're left with are rumors and wild speculation; which loses its fun in a hurry. I just don't see why Lucasfilm/Disney can't dole out info more regularly so the wait (for us diehards anyway) is less agonizing.

    I agree with some of your points and I would love it if they would release more official information but I think they planned it this way. Rogue One just came out in December and the DVD just released this week. They didn't want to take the spotlight away from RO and with both those things out and Celebration next week, I think the TLJ media-hype will begin. Besides, is anyone on here still holding a grudge because of the RO clip that only people at the event got to see but was never released to the public? Or do you think after next week we'll care that footage was shown a week or so ago in Vegas but we didn't get to see it? In the end, we'll get our information, clips and photos and in December it'll all be forgotten and we can sit back and enjoy a (potentially) great movie. :)

    The amount of footage hown in Vegas and during shareholders meeting is too small to be shown separately. Besides, we'll most likely see that footage implemented into one or more trailers or TV ads. They showed it there for a reason.

    Has anyone heard any more about this 40th anniversary panel? It's racking my brain as to why SW Show made such a song and dance about this particular panel.

    I would expect it is because we are going to see a lot of current and past stars of the SW universe at it.

    I suspect there will be some people there who have not been announced. I could be wrong and there may be more to it but I think this is the most likely reason at this time

    anyone else thinking they might just drop a teaser FOR the teaser during the 40th anniversary panel, as has been so common with films lately?
    just a little something to whet everyone's appetites even more for the full teaser the following day... that's my guess as to why it's being hyped.
    but as a hardcore star wars fan, I try to stream as much as I can of it live, haha, really looking forward to what's in store this year.

    What I want to see happen on-stage is a recreation of this:



    If they choose to do the BTS Reel first, I can see them going forward with this. Easy way to make sure that the TLJ trailer has the greatest amount of exposure so it can smash the "most views in a single day" record.
