I don't get your first comment. Can you clarify?

Are you saying "You might want to go home and rethink your life... for posting a joke comment in a thread discussing Warwick Davis selfies taken standing inches away from Vader and Chewie's crotches, and featuring Davis making an O face?"

    Definitely not from the set.

I have a feeling Yahoo is sugar coating that.

Did Davis himself say he was on the set?

whilst i'm sure that Chewie is all 'wookie' underneath that fur... i suspect that lying face down on the burning ground for all that time on mustafar burnt away anything Anakin had that remotely resembled a crotch.

i think Warwick is safe in the top picture lol

Warwick: "hey vader, are you happy to see me?"
Vader: "no mate, thats a lightsaber in my pocket"

He said it on some interview show last night. Apparently it was a joke.
I haven't seen it, just picking that up by reading other posts.

I also think its VERY unlikely we will see Vader make an appearance in TFA. If we do see an appearance, I think it would be via flashbacks. I do think his name may be mentioned, however.

What if its not Vader? Could the new sith be that obsessed with vader that they took on his identity via the suit?

Let's just clear one thing up.
There has been a lot of "Darth Vader is back" speculation surrounding Ep VII.
Wasn't Darth Vader the guy who was given his title in Palpatine's office then later hacked to pieces by Obi-Wan on Mustafar? The guy who Luke watched die and then carried to Endor to burn his body in a funeral pyre?
OK, cool. So if, "in universe" you were bringing that guy back to life - through cloning, magic, or whatever - why would anyone "in universe" choose to bring back the cripple, cyborg old guy version of Vader, rather than the fully functional pre-Mustafar Vader?
    It doesn't make any sense.
It would be like Stephen Hawking dying and somone cloning him just to recreate him as an 70-year-old in a wheelchair. A tad cruel and slightly pointless, in a way, wouldn't you say?

So if that costume is in this movie, then it is not "Darth Vader", it surely must be a costume worn by someone else. Which is, in itself a bit weird, because what we were seeing was more of a cybernetic being than a "costume" in the previous movies...

So if they are marketing "general" Star Wars stuff with that costume/mannequin then that is kind of fair enough. Vader = Star Wars.
But if that is Episode VII specific, then there had better be a good reason for that costume existing for Warwick to take a picture with it, because it would need to be a pretty extended flashback for it to warrant being anything other than a "misguiding" marketing strategy for this movie. Otherwise, as I said, it is not "Vader" it is just a costume worn by some other character for some perverse reason unclear to us at this juncture...

    :)

I personally believe the movies will still involve Vader in some shape or form, if not Anakin's Force Ghost. The armor could be just a mannequin, but I'd like to entertain the idea that the collector realizes some things are worth restoring and all. I mean, his mask form concept art looks pretty low tech, and a restored Vader suit would be a cool and if necessary thing to have. The suit probably has some of Vader's blood and sith stuff mucking around it in, redeemed or not. There's gotta be some decent value.

But it's probably just a joke, or some statue in Disneyland or something. But who knows :D

Yeah. the more I think of it the more I'm beginning to wonder if bringing back the original big three, the Falcon, as integral parts of the new trilogy and whatnot is such a good idea.
There's always the danger of the film ending up too derivative ...
I hope the torch is passed on quickly to the new crew because Boyega and co. sure seem up for it.

    EDIT: well played Warwick. Haha.
