SPECULATION What are your predictions for the S3 finale, "Zero Hour"?

Since we are getting season 4, I don't think any of the major characters will die. It will be left for next season. IF someone is to die, I think it will be Zeb since he isn't used as much. Chop is very popular so I'll be surprised if he goes out like K2SO. Thrawn hasn't done much so I'll be surprised if they kill him off b4 he does any major damage to the rebels.

 

I think Kanan is a goner.

 

Hopefully Thrawn's letting people go for the sake of a larger plan will finally come to fruition. As of now Gallius Rax is my favorite Imperial Admiral. Hope Ezra bites it too. Would be a cool reversal for a master to deal with the death of an apprentice

 

Chopper and Hera have Rogue One continuity plot armor protecting them.

 

Correct, there's nothing stronger than Canon Armor .

As for death predictions, I think Kallus and Sato aren't going to make it through. I'm doubtful that we will see any deaths from the main cast. I'm also doubtful that they'll kill Thrawn, as that would just be wasteful at this point IMO. I do think the Rebels are going to get their butts handed to them though and they will be at a low point at the end of this season.

 

If someone does die this season I think it will be a secondary character, not part of the main crew.

I think they're going to milk as much out of thrawn as possible....he's not going to die for a long time yet.

 

I see Phoenix squadron barely surviving Thrawn's ambush. Commander Sato will die, considering how Thrawn and Sato threatened each other in their last encounter. Scarif was the Alliance's first major "victory" against the Alliance, if you can even call it that, given how many people died. I can see their utter defeat in this Rebels finale playing part in the Alliance council's initial hesitation and fear to help Rogue One acquire the plans on Scarif. I see Kallus dying as well, possibly during an assassination attempt on Grand Admiral Thrawn, as a twist on Thrawn's death in the original novels, but I think Thrawn will ultimately survive.

Regardless, I'm hoping we get to see a really creative, epic space battle!

One of our Rebels is probably going to die, as well. Zeb would be ideal because his character arc has ended with finding others of his kind and homeworld, but I think Kanan would be a larger impact. I don't see him giving up the Jedi way or turning to the Dark side, so death is probably the end for him, unless he wants to become a Bendu of sorts. They have to make it so Luke really is the last Jedi by Empire Strikes Back. I think his death would also set the stage for Ezra's possible fall to the Dark side.

I have high hopes for this one!

A bloody good episode!

• Thrawn will wreck everything around him
• Thrawn will survive
• Kallus isn't getting out alive
• Neither is Sato
• Still 50/50 whether one of the main characters will die in this finale
• A gorgeous looking spectacle

Can't wait for the final shots of the episode for the set up of Season 4.

Finally got caught up, here are a few predictions-

-Sato dies. He's the Rebel side of Thrawn's coin, and the two have threatened each other in the past. One has to die, and I doubt it'll be Thrawn.

- Another character dies. I'm not sure who, but I think Kanan is a distinct possibility. Ezra just doesn't seem to need him that much anymore.

- Sabine, Rau, and the Mandalorians arrive with squadrons of Z-95s from Mandalore, helping the Rebels escape at the cusp of defeat. I also think these Z-95s might later be modified into a new canon introduction to X-Wings.

- The Rebels will (obviously) have to retreat to a new base. I'm thinking that we're going to Yavin.

- Other Rebel cells (some from Dantooine) will come to assist at Attolon. They, too, will head to Yavin after the battle.

- Mothma arrives with the other Rebel cells, and we see her in somewhat of a combat situation for the first (and probably only time) alongside her fleet commander, Ackbar.

edit: A lot of claims Kallus has to die. Perhaps that's true- or, maybe he finally defects to the Rebellion? Either way, I don't see him working for the Empire much longer...

 

It has to be a major loss for the Rebellion.

I agree Sato has to go. So does Kallus.

I don't think someone from the main cast will die, but I expect them to be shattered. Maybe one of them goes away (Kanan) in search for something, or gets captured.

 

I hope Kallus stays alive and once he finally join the Rebels he change his name to Crix Madine. I think that would be a cool back story for him in the new canon since he once defected from the Empire as well in the old EU. Then again, I probably will be wrong.

I doubt they would kill Thrawn, but can still have him lose. I think he will be crushing the rebels, until the mandos show up to save the day. The rebel alliance can't have a victory, but if the Mandos do....season 4 can have a big empire vs mandos war.

 

People will flat out lose their minds if Thrawn dies. He is too great of a character to have such a small impact on the SW universe.

 

My prediction...

1. Thrawn lives.
2. All of the main cast live .... Kanan, Ezra, Hera, Sabine, Zeb, Chopper.
3. At least one expendable Rebel dies ... Sato or AP-5
4. At least one expendable Mandalorian mentor dies ... Fenn Rau or Countess Ursa Wren
5. Chopper base is destroyed.
6. Phoenix Home (the carrier) is destroyed.
7. Rebel reinforcements arrive.
8. At least one of the star destroyers is destroyed.
9. The rebel cast ends up folded into the larger rebellion with Mon Mothma/Jan Dodonna.
10. Hera is promoted to General.

 

I'm going to say Zeb dies. He hasn't done much, and I think there is potential for an interesting story if he goes out saving Kallus again. Kallus will join the secondary cast in season 4.

Thrawn lives and remains a primary antagonist, or maybe gets called away the same way Vader was at the end of Season 2. I think he's around for the long run in the Story Group's plans.

Sato is a goner.

 

Everyone dies, but some how Hera and Chop make it through.

...And if the Ghost crew notes this, (Return of Vader), they just may have good cause to ponder the possibility that our– (read: "my") sweet-sweet Lady Tano may have possibly pulled through that big implosive-kaboom as well...

Seriously- I think the calls being made here are dead-on. I like Kallus, I think he has potential as a very interesting Rebel character should he find himself "out" of the Imperial scene, and actually (physically) in with the rebels. ...but my money's on his demise coming sooner than later.

There's bits I still enjoy about Zeb, but I figure he's out too. ...Maybe in a blaze of glory ...alongside his old nemesis Kallus. I could enjoy that scene...a lot.

Anyway-- whatever happens--

My list

1. Kallus does not die, but all his efforts feel used against him by Thrawn and he becomes a prisoner of war
2. Commander Sato dies aboard the Imperial Quasar Fire-class carrier or on his CR90 Corvette, Liberator
3. Sato's nephew and crew return aboard the YT-2400 Sato's Hammer. Whether their crew survives is up for debate.
4. Thrawn lives. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. He will live through season 4 and flee to the Unknown Regions or be given special instructions by the Emperor himself.
5. Zeb Orellios does NOT die in this episode, but his character arc will end early next season
6. Clan Wren will suffer minor casualties including Sabine's brother Tristan as well as Fenn Rau
7. Mon Mothma orders a full retreat where they flee into space with what few survivors they have leaving what small base they have at Dantooine behind
8. Our first nod to the X-Wing will be given in some shape or form
9. The answer to Ahsoka's fate comes in this episode
10. Vader is back and we get another tease of the Emperor for Season 4 as well as Director Krennic (Death Troopers were teased for the second half of the season trailer)
11. We may see Tarkin again and Governor Pryce will definitely be seen again too (Lothal is her jurisdiction and Tarkin is not yet overseeing the Death Star at this point. He was very busy there in Season 1.)
