SPECULATION What do you think the Dubrovnik scenes will be mostly about?

Perhaps a meeting with former pirate mates of Han and Maz Kanata?

 

I think they're there to recruit Lando who now owns a casino

 

I think it's the scene where all the different stories merge together. Based on who was there on set, who was 'rumored' on set, and what was going on.

 

Corrupted new Republic politicians celebrating the hosnian capital being destroyed and now their new rise to power. Also celebrating that the pesking General Leia is out of commission probably because they set it up.

In comes Luke and Rey on one side and Finn and KMT in the other to put a kibosh on their plans.

 

Okay so this is what I've gathered thus far, using clues and various leaks(if they are to be trusted):

The Dubrovnik scene is a police chase that takes place on a casino planet at the end of the 1st act. It should take place about 40 minutes into the movie. It starts with a party on some type of boat. Someone then uses a water speeder to pull up to the beach, which Law Enforcement investigates. Luke is looking for Rey on this planet (the planet name starts with a C), and either Luke or Rey ends up getting chased by the Law Enforcement, but the Law Enforcement speeder crashes into a stationary speeder, which then causes Luke/Rey to crash as well. Finn and Kelly Marie Tran's characters then come across the wreckage on a long space horse once everyone is gone.



This is the 132nd scene in the movie, which means it should be about 40 minutes in and act as a transition between the 1st and 2nd act. The 132nd scene in TFA was the freighter Death Gang scene.

The scene starts during the day, where a group of military veterans/wealthy people seem to be having a party on an oceanliner. The boom mic/camera are used on the couple on the left, who seem to be speaking all the dialogue. The rest of the characters are just a backdrop:



The wealthy woman uses her binoculars to see something in the distance, likely an unwanted person approaching the island on a water-speeder. She contacts law authority:



The unwanted person lands on the beach with their speeder:



Which the "CBPD" investigates:



"CBPD" is the writing in Aurebesh on their helmets. It seems to stand for "C___ B___ Police Department", with C possibly being the first letter of the planet this takes place on.



At this point, things are left up in the air. Someone is on the run from police, day turns into night, and the police have found this person and are now on their tale. Cue the speeder chase down Main Street Dubrovnik.

During the chase, there are three speeders that crash:


The "fancy" speeder, which is stationary and gets crashed into:







The "law enforcement" vehicle:







I call it law enforcement because it's the same speeder that was at Banje Beach along with the officers:





And finally a tan speeder, which crashes into a wall at the end of the street:





Looking at the order in which these speeders crash, it seems that the Law enforcement crashes into the "fancy" vehicle, which then causes our tan speeder to crash at the end of the street near Onofrio's fountain.

Then Finn and Kelly Marie Tran's character come upon the aftermath on a long horse once everyone is gone:



So if the rumors are true, then Luke, Rey, KMT's character, and Finn all end up on this planet one way or another. If this is true then this could very well be a place where all of our characters "meet up".
