What is going on with Finn/Poe's jacket???

    Ok so we know there are tonnes of cutout scenes in this movie, and one of them is a high speed chase between Finn and Rey on a speeder and Stormtroopers

    In the bottom left photo, we see that Rey is wearing Finn's jacket, presumably offered by Finn himself (anyone else really want to see that scene in the blueray?). This "chase" most likely happened between the scene wtih Han, Chewie, Finn and Rey where Han says, "lets use the explosives" to the scene where Rey and Finn get to the control panel thingo to open the door that Han and Chewie need to get through.

    When Rey and Finn get to the control panel, Rey has the jacket. Before they climb the huge ladder, Rey still has it. Then after the get to the top, Finn has the jacket again.

    1. Its weird that they somehow exchanged jackets on a ladder (although there was probably a platform where they stopped in between)
    2. First Poe had it, then Finn had it. Then Finn tried to give it to Poe, but Poe told him to keep it. Then he gives it to Rey, who then gives it back to Finn later (when they're still in the cold snowy environment)

    3. This post is completely unnecessary and i recognize that ;) But this really bothers me for some reason, not in a really bad way, but it just annoys me i guess..... :p
    4. I feel like the extend version or deleted scenes will explain this

    Did anyone else notice this???

    Well... when Finn and Rey first enter the Oscillator, Finn is adjusting his jacket.
    Probably exchanged just before they went inside.

    But the question of why is still a valid question.
    It makes sense that Rey, who comes from the hot desert planet Jakku, would feel the cold more than Finn.
    I could definitely see why Finn would give the jacket to her...

    I think Rey should have kept it until around the Kylo Ren fight, using it to keep Finn warm or something.

    Noticed this myself and thought it was unfair that Rey was left without it...but then you could kind of imagine the scene:

    Rey's cold. Finn gives her the jacket. Rey reluctantly accepts.
    Later, Finn is cold. Tries to deny it. Rey insists on giving him the jacket back.

    Yeah something like that and I don't think we need to see them swap jackets, that adds nothing and can happen off screen like eating, sleeping, bio breaks.

    I never noticed that! I guess I can understand why they didn't want Rey wearing the cumbersome oversized jacket during her final iconic fight. But, as you say, it doesn't really make sense.

    Perhaps Rey returned the jacket after they climbed the ladder (on some intermediate platform, as you said), when they were in a more sheltered, "indoors-ish" environment and she felt she didn't need it. But if Finn were being a gentleman, he really should have returned it when they went back out in the snow again!

    Oh well. They were in shock. The cold was the least of their concerns at that point, haha.

    No thats not what i meant at all.
    It was just to emphasize how many times this damn jacket changed hands. I have no problem with Finn getting Poe's jacket in the wreck.

    The jacket exchange after they climb the ladder and head into the oscillator, i don't really need to see. But i do want to see Poe giving Rey the jacket for the first time. I understand why they left it out, and thats fine. But if it's not in the BlueRay extended version or deleted scenes, ill be pretty disappointing.
    I feel like it would give Rey and Finn's "romance" some more depth, although i'm not sure Rey feels the same way.

    I totally get the desire to see that. But, hey, the fact that we know he did give it to her and that Rey, (who doesn't accept help from others very willingly) agreed to wear it is pretty cute! Unless she kicked his ass and took it, which is seems unlikely lol.

    Also, you accidentally wrote Poe instead of Finn, mate. I'm just pointing it out because if I don't, someone else will. ;)

    I thought it was obvious that Rey gave the jacket back at the top of the ladder, Finn is still putting it on as they walk into the oscillator.

    i wonder if there was a comedic moment cut.. Finn acts the gentleman and offers his coat, only for him to be shivering 5 minutes later and Rey makes him have it back lol.

    with the "Oh really, you're cold?" comment from Han to Chewie it may have been seen as overkill in the humour department and something that could be cut.

    a slight annoyance for the perfectionists out there, but i don't think it'll become as endearing as a stormtrooper banging his head or wires attached to lightsabers from the original lol

    Finn gave her the jacket as a gentleman so she wont be cold
    On the way back, Rey probably gave it back to him.

    Little nitpicking but nothing that ruins the movie
