What is going on with Finn/Poe's jacket???

Finn showed that despite the Jedi being destroyed, true chivalry is not dead. He gave the jacket to Rey because they were outside in the cold. Rey barely had any clothes on, at least nothing to stand the sudden actic cold of Starkiller Base. When she and finn eventually reached the woods, there was no real reason for her to wear the jacket. She had been doing a lot of running: anyone who jogs knows that wearing a jacket has no real purpose because your body temperature is already sufficiently high.

if you want more costume continuity gaffes to irritate yourself with, watch how many times Kylo Ren switches from wearing his hood to not wearing his hood from the time he interrogates Rey to the end.

i suspect they wanted him to get rid of it for the final confrontation, but all his stomping around between scenes it vacillates back and forth.

 

Yes, as in Chewie has now been promoted to pilot. =( Was sad seeing him alone in the cockpit of the MF at the end of TFA.

 

no no. He is still co pilot. Rey is pilot and captain of the Millenium Falcon now. Not only did Chewie miss out on a medal, he also missed out on a promotion. Lucas: "you don't give your dog a medal do you?"

 

Yeah, that still pisses me off every time I watch ANH. Poor Chewie didn't get a damn thing.

 

They probably did throw him a bone or something. "Chewie you are good boy aint you! Good boy! Good boy! Sit! Sit!!! Sit!!!!!!!!! Fetch!". Chewie does not like medals, the pin upsets his fur.

 

that is how I took it as well. It seemed like REY tried to say without words "here ya go Chewie, your the Captain now"
However, Chewie seemed to nod in meaning that NO "I am a co-pilot" your the Captain. As in I am a co-pilot, I don't want to be a Captain.

That is just the way I took the non verbal exchange

 

It is almost as if Chewie liked Rey because she is like Han in so many ways. Chewie loves Han. Han: "And Chewie likes you!" And we all know Chewie is a ladies man!(chewie) "you must be very brave!"

The jacket is magical. There's ample evidence that this whole film revolves around The Jacket.

Remember, "Jakku" is jacket in FINNish. Then Finn ends up with it. Coincidence? I think not!

The most pressing question going into VIII: Is the jacket going to be okay? It looks like Kylo probably did some serious damage (to the jacket) when he sliced Finn's back with his lightsaber. Can it be repaired? I'm sure they must have seamstresses in a galaxy far far away.

i think it should be trashed, but i have a feeling the magical tailors who rescue Kylo Ren's helmet from Starkiller will also fix Finn's jacket ~ hahaha.

it would be a shame to lose the jacket since it is kind of special.

 

It's hard to imagine why she would do this though.
