    Who's been in the icebox?

Who's going to get put to sleep?

Will carbonite freezing play a role in this film? How?

Will you be disgusted if they use this plot device?

None since the invention of Ziplock Bags post ROTJ.

Seriously though ehhh I'm kind of over carbonite. That's just me though. I wouldn't use the word disgusted. Maybe unnecessary.

My question is, and I do not believe there is a movie-verse answer for this, but does carbonite freezing result in stasis? Meaning it stops the aging process? If so, carbonite freezing can be a device for bringing back any Rebels, PT, or older era characters for whom we do not know their fate and use younger characters to play them (i.e. Ahsoka, Ventress, Ezra, etc.)

It seems like a weak plot device. It also doesn't make much canonical sense because when it was used on Han Solo it was kind of experimental. Vader, Boba Fett, and the others didn't even know whether or not he would survive the process, let alone the effects of carbon freezing and specifics of recovery afterwards (i.e. blindness). Hard to believe it would be so unknown if others had used it before to "save" a character for later use.

So, while it might seem to be a cool way to bring in some known characters, I think I would prefer they not use it in this way.

I hope, it doesn't make a come back. Han could make a joke about it but I'd rather not see it unless they're using to freeze some freight or something.

Well Han has already experienced it first hand so I doubt it will be used again Cloud City at the time of TFA is in rebel hands so I don't anyone will be going for a hibernation vacation anytime soon.
Maybe Poe has got tired of flying that xwing.

Maybe some type of freeze blaster as new weaponry? Fire gun? Lightning gun? Anything is possible. Laser gun like Call of Duty Advanced Warfare? Rocket launchers? Carbonite guns? Any one got other ideas to guns?

I was watching season six of TCW. Apparently he has hooked up with a Queen on some other planet of weird force sensitive theocrats.

Kasdan was original in his writing the carbonite idea, but they need something different and just if not more creative and original.

At least we've got him back as a writer. Hope he hasn't lost his edge.

I honestly think they should leave the whole carbonite thing alone after messing up the story in TCW - there was an episode where Anakin and his team of Clones froze themselves in carbonite in order to avoid detection on the way down to a Seperatist facility, so Anakin was well aware of the fact that freezing beings in carbonite would be successful by the time he got to TESB. So to use it again would probably cause more people to look into it and see the flaw. But that's just me. :)

I was actually going to reference this epsiode in TCW as a foreshadowing premise. Anakin comes up with the idea.. Tests it again on Han (wanted to freeze Luke) to "bring him to the Emperor", however Vader really wanted him to become his apprentice. Hold that thought...

I ask, would we be surprised that once Anakin/Vader gets ambition to over throw his master, would he start looking for an apprentice? Would it be surprising if he's got one on ice prior to finding Luke? We don't know when exactly he decided to do it, but he does. I don't think using carbonite would weaken the story at all. I would say, be ready for it.

TCW was about Anakin's fall... Ahsoka was a MAJOR part of it. Her trial and the eventual refusing to return to the order was extremely hard for Anakin to handle and started to build the case that the Jedi were far from perfect (which Palpitine would eventually take advantage of). We know how Anakin/Vader can't let go of attachments (his mother, his wife and he kills Mace when he tried to kill Palp.. even tho he knew he was the Sith Lord) I wouldn't be surprised if he saved Ahoska from order 66 by freezing her and stashing her somewhere. Waking up to see the wake of what her friend, master has done? Also, on Mortis, she had a vision that warned of it and told her to leave him. I personally believe she dies on Alderran and this is what Rebels is leading to (Fulcrom), but wouldn't be surprised.

Or would it be lame that he puts Ventress on ice? He has witnessed her skill many times and see's how strong she is... Ventress is interesting because in the end, she was neither sith nor Jedi.. Kind of a lone wolf bad ass

All I'm saying is, be prepared because Filoni and Lucas LOVED these characters and carbonite is a way to keep their youth.. I could see Disney and Lucas pushing for either or both.

There's been an awaking.. The Light side (Ahsoka) and the Dark side (Ventress).. Cheese? maybe so, but I'd still watch the hell out of it!

Maybe Luke's hand holding the lightsaber is actually encased in a Carbonite box?

If not, I'd say food conservation.

BB-8 was frozen in carbonite in 1985 until...the force unfroze and awakened her. Now on the loose and giving high fives to Han.
