    The other thing about Grogu's species that puzzle me is that Yoda had a unique way of talking, but Yaddle didn't speak like that way at all. I suspect they'll go down the Yaddle route when it comes to it because replicating Yoda might be a bridge too far.

    I have come to believe that Yoda's speech pattern was an intentional gag that he came up with to make everything he said seem more important and wise. An evolution of talking in third person. It kinda works, too.

    I agree. They'll want Grogu to have a personality --- including a voice and a way of speaking --- that will be a contrast from Yoda's.

    I'm actually worried of Grogu being able to speak as I don't want him to wear a helmet. When Din said he doesn't speak the creed so he doesn't need to wear a helmet.. I was almost panicking thinking "crap, what he does start talking soon'. I do wonder if they will actually end up putting a helmet on him because a lot of Grogus charm and personality is through the expression of his eyes..

    But as The Mandalorian is a family show I reckon it will be something that is directed towards Din, that would have an impact on him. Or it can be him calling out for 'help' if he's in some kind of situation and Din would hear him and help him out. In the end I reckon the moment that Grogu says something it will just be with him and Din.

    I agree. Even the shield looks too heavy on the little fellow.

    It's quite funny how a lot of Grobus talking is recordings of baby talk. I heard a kid in the shop I work in that sounded exactly like him.

    I have to say that I loved the explanation of why Grogu doesn't have to wear a helmet as a Foundling. Having it come once he can recite The Creed was inspired. It was a logical way to 'bring Grogu into the Mandalorian fold' while postponing his helmet wearing in the series indefinitely. :)

    I'm guessing he'll never really speak in the scope of the series. It's not practical, the puppet isn't really made for it, and there's the Mando issue. The character works perfectly as it is.
