Exactly what I wanted to write! :) Generally, I enjoyed all the moments where we see Kanan develop, grow, work on his relationship with Hera... The way they split in the last episode, while he still seems totally oblivious to her struggle, at least before Sabine reminds him to go talk to her. And the hug at the end... Reminds me way too much of Han's and Leia's in Ep VII. I've a bad feeling about this.

Welp, since I can't choose just one, do the trailers count? Because the trailer for the finale, with Ahsoka's visions of Anakin, had me crying.

    Oh, and all the Karabasts.

Yup, I've realised I can't really pick one moment either. There are so many.

Kanan's character arc has been one of my favourites, from where he revealed himself to the Empire and embraced his Jediness after the horror of Order 66 and the sacrifice of his Master, to his growing bond with Ezra and his struggles to come to terms with his role and the responsibilities of being a teacher, and how that catalyzed his growth into Jedi Knight.

In New Dawn, it was Kanan that was crushing on Hera, and she the one who was all into duty. Now it seems the roles have reversed somewhat. Guys being oblivious to a girls internal struggle is a story as old as time, lol, so relatable for the adult audience. I do wonder if they will ever get together, or whether Kanan will go the full Jedi route and die in a noble sacrifice. Jeepers, now I feel like no one in Rebels is safe for the Season 2 finale! Nooooo!

Everything about Anakin is just so sad, he is such a tragic figure. I hope it is just the demise of Ashoka's and Anakin's friendship we see in the S2 finale, that is sad enough, and not the demise of Ashoka. Or anyone else.

To quote Kallas, 'Karabast, what does that even mean?' Yeah, I love profanity, and I especially love the way it's done with made up inoffensive words, and also with Chopper. Still convinved that droid has the pottiest mouth of any droid I've ever encountered in SW. It's hilarious. I've always said it's intentions that offend me, not words themselves. Profanity is such a fun, colourful use of language.

@Empire Jo, yup, that was one of the (quite rare) moments I found relatable, but Kanan brings that up from me. Also, when he tries to teach Ezra about sacrifice, or "Do, ot do not, there is no try" without really understanding it himself. In a way, I find him much more relatable than Ezra, though we're supposed to like him more.
And Chop's the best, finally a comic relief that works, and especially good with Zeb, while we're at it.

I have a few favorites. These are the moments of the show that momentarily brought out the Star Wars Kid in me when I first saw them:
    • The Ashoka reveal as the doorway opened (right before the fight with the Inquisitors). Didn't need to see the fight, you knew it was going to go down (but seeing the fight was nice too)
    • Seeing Vader in his prime (both as a pilot and an intimidator)
    • Kanan revealing himself as a Jedi
    • Tarkin destroying the communications tower (and most of the Tarkin scenes in that episode - good to see him in his prime as well)
    • Hearing "Firefly" Yoda reach out from Dagobah to connect to other Jedi

The last hour of Season 2.

More badassery in that episode than all the others preceding it.

Totally agree, though in a way, as there were so many momumental moments all strung together, fewer stood out in a bigger way on their own.

Still digesting most of that episode. It will take some time to come to grips with a lot of it.

    Mind is (epic fail)!

So many great things, each better than the last. It kept building and even thought there were 18 cliff-hangars when it ended, there was no let down. That's why I said the whole last hour...

I've seen it a few times and its just as bombad as the first viewing.

I still need to watch it again. But, damn, this still deserves an update. Kanan, all the way, everything he goes through here.

The scene where Ezra taps into the Dark Side to summon that beast is fantastic

Its gotta be the moment when its confirmed that Anakin is gone:

    "Then you will die."

The anger in his eyes, and the pain in hers.

    Got me.

Yeah, that one totally pushed the knife in your guts and twisted it.

But remember, he is not gone forever...

Kanan has had am amazing character arc, that only looks like it's going to get better.

You have to wonder, if Ashoka is around in the GFFA after Anakin returns and becomes one with the Force, whether Anakin's Force ghost would ever appear to her. And what would that conversation be like...

I watched the big showdown from ROTJ again last night.... ironic.... while Palpatine was cooing about how bad things were for the friends of his new "apprentice".... I was reminded of Darth Maul's performance interaction with Ezra in this episode.

the episode where ahsoka reveals herself to both inquisitors and wipes the floor with them- ahsoka is one of my favorite characters and that was a bad-ass moment.

So, so many of those - it's hard to choose.

    Let's start with this:

    1.gif 2.gif

Then Ezra reaching for the Dark Side to control the alien beast, Kanan vs. Grand Inquisitor, Kanan being knighted by Grand Inquisitor, Kanan being blinded and fighting Maul and, of course, this entire fight:

Just with Ahsoka and Darth. With Vader harnessing the lightside to talk to Ahsoka is pretty strong and still in him to allow himself to talk to her as Anakin. In LoTS his memories still affect him and still ponders what it would be if certain things didnt happen. even as it fuels his anger he still able to remember and the emperor feel the threat of Vader and questions him. We all kno how Darth Vader ends up. whoever uses the force is a threat to Vader in Rebels. I think rebels/R1 is where we have to see Darth Vader ascend from his emotion more into the darkside. we dont see it in the OT as much so him killing Maul and fighting Ahsoka would make that change.

Kanan to me has to end up meeting Obi/Yoda. him and Ezra duel would be a good one.

So many great moments! I had a hard time choosing a favorite. After much thought, I chose the final lightsaber battle between Kanan and Ezra versus The Grand Inquisitor (season 1 finale).

In particular, I love this bit of dialogue between Kanan and The Grand Inquisitor:

    Kanan: That was a mistake.
Grand Inquisitor: Why? Because you have no one left to die for you?
Kanan: No, because I have nothing left to fear.

...and then, Kanan proceeds to wallop The Grand Inquisitor. It was one of the pivotal moments of his character development in season 1. Of all the Rebels characters, his character arc has intrigued me the most so far.

I still like the moment in the first episode, when Kanan whips out his lightsaber and says, "I'm about to let everyone in on the secret", and reveals that he is a Jedi!
