SPECULATION Who is the Inquisitor in Ahsoka?

Probably a new character. If it has to be one of the above, then Baris Offee would be very emotional.

 

Surely a new character. I did vote for Ezra, because if it has to be an existing character, he makes sense. The kid loved his helmet collection. Don't know why he would be fighting Ahsoka, though. Is Barris Offee really a speculation? That would indeed be an emotional thing. The other two options...? I'd say Jar Jar is about 348,979 to 1 odds, but at least HE exists...

 

So based on the trailers it’s definitely a male physique. I voted for Ezra in the poll but I don’t really see him going down that route especially after how Rebels S4 ended. More than likely it’s a new character. The Inquisitor has 5 fingers and the Eighth Brother only has 4, so that disqualified him.

 

Yeah, I really don't want it to be or think it is Ezra, but it's just so odd that there would be an Inquisitor at all, and that we have not seen Ezra at all except for what seemed to be an old holo. I did see several people on YT mention the finger count, which I find hilarious. You can't get anything past us Nerds. We WILL count appendages. I'm starting to wonder if maybe he is tied to WBW, or was he maybe on the ship with Thrawn and Ezra?

 

Huh, I'd assumed it would just be an original character, but Barris would be wild. I like it.

Ezra as the Inquisitor? I'll pass.

Eighth Brother should stay dead on Malachor. There's way too many of these pretty similar looking Inquisitors to justify bringing them back from the dead. Only exception I'd make is Massana in JFO, but her design is by far the most unique and it was painfully obvious she survived anyway.

If we ever get Galen Marek, I'd want it to be in a Star Wars video game (preferable the next Kestis outing). Feels right to keep that as his medium.

But yeah, it's probably Jar Jar.

Once an Inquisitor hunting Jedi for the Empire, the mysterious Marrok now works as a mercenary hired by Morgan Elsbeth to carry out dark deeds. Fully encased in battered battle armor, the warrior still carries a red double-bladed saber with a circular hilt.

Going with Barris, because why not. I don't think it'd be the first time in Star Wars or in fiction in general where we'd meet a character (initially) played by a man and with a deep voice that turns out to be a woman. Ezra would be...weird. Far from impossible, since it's been 5 years and he'd need to survive somehow, but weird. Also, Thrawn turning Ezra into an Inquisitor only to send him back to fight and/or kill his former family just sounds like a poor strategy. You'd want to use Ezra's knowledge for your own sake, not put him in a situation where his indoctrination may be shaken off. Then again, it may have been a Winter Soldier sort of scenario, where Ahsoka and Co. find Inquisitor!Ezra by accident as he's attempting to assassinate someone. Who knows.

 

I'm not 100% sure if this is official or still just speculation, but it seems we may know Marrok's pre-Inquisitor identity.

Oh yeah! That might be it; I saw him in that other show, and I think he fits well for Marrok.

He is either a Drexciyan Wavejumper

or whatever that race of Inquisitor in Rebels is (based on the experience with adaptations, digit count might not be the safest bet).
Some people speculate that it is Ezra, but I feel that might be a stupid plot twist in a sense. Unless, he is undercover
Or he is somebody completely new... Marrok is probably his real name, as Inquisitors were brothers, sisters and probably one Grand,
hence it makes sense to not use such codenames going rogue after the fall of empire and probably dissolution of Inquisitorius.

 

So there’s been recent speculation that Marrok could be a new identity for Sam Witwer in the new canon instead of Starkiller aka Galen Merrick. Dave Filoni has been on record stating at one point he did want to bring Starkiller into the canon at some point, but hasn’t really gone forward with that idea because it could affect current canon. This could be a workaround to that. Not sure if there is any validity to the claims, but I did some personal digging and Sam Witwer is 6’1” and Rosario Dawson is 5’7”. Marrok is clearly depicted as taller than her by several inches. A recent video shows her practicing with what appears to be the stunt double, but they could always use Sam for the helmetless shots. Most of Din Djarin in Seasons 2-3 of Mando have been shot with stunt doubles and Pedro Pascal doing ADR work. Thoughts on this theory?

Marrok is being played by stuntman and sometimes-actor, Paul Darnell, though. He's worked on TM and TBoBF in the past, and is now playing the Inquisitor Marrok in Ahsoka.
