    So as we all remember Luke was absent from TFA's first teaser. Do you think he will also be absent from ep VIII's first teaser ???

    considering the current shoots have rey and luke continually together i'd assume

    Rey in teaser = Yes

    No Rey in teaser = No.

    I don't think he'll appear alone in the teaser.

    I fully expect him in the first teaser, if only as much as Kylo Ren was in the first teaser for TFA, where everyone was talking about the new lightsaber.

    There was a reason that he was not in the trailers for TFA. The cat is out of the bag now, so yes, I think he will be in all the trailers.;);)

    Now that everyone knows Luke is found, Luke will be in everything. Young cast might take the spotlight in trailers, but they will advertise the hell out of Luke. He is already in Celebration poster.

    I think Luke will be in the first trailer. At this point there does not seem to be a good reason not to have him in it.

    Luke has been filming at every major Ireland shoot. I think it would be hard to hide him.

    He will most definitely be in the teaser/trailer in the VII run up he was hid for now oblivious reasons. In VIII we all assume he will assume the role of Jedi Master mentor. I could see him face to face with Kylo in the first trailer/teaser. It will be a lot of Rey, Luke, Kylo and the KoR I believe

    Dont get me wrong, i think they will show him in all the trailers. But it wouldnt be hard to hide him in the first teaser. Han Solo had a good amount of screen time in TFA and he was not in the first TFA teaser and he only had one scene i the second TFA teaser.
    Also there are other sets in Episode VIII besides Ireland, so they will have many other scenes to choose from for a first teaser. They can easily get around showing Luke, but it wouldnt make any sense anymore.
