    You will see some posters for TLJ but the official one will most likely be revealed with the final trailer. At least this is how they did it with TFA and R1.

    There was a teaser poster for Rogue One at SW Celebration last year, 5 months before the movie, and a teaser poster for TFA at the Disney 23 Expo in 2015, 4 months before, so maybe we will have a teaser poster for Episode 8.

    Not the official poster, no.

    We've already gotten what I call an announcement poster (basically the title and release date).

    You've got the first trailer and first footage being shown to the public (possibly in the form of a BTS video).

    That's beyond big news.

    They have 8 more months to fill with promotional items. They have to pace themselves to a degree.

    They'll feast off the analysis of the trailer and other news from SWC for a month.

    They'll do something for SW day in May, maybe a teaser poster around then

    They'll do something for SDCC.

    They'll release a trailer at D23 maybe.

    I don't think we'll get the actual theatrical poster until September or October (likely the latter), especially if it is an overstuffed disaster like the TFA poster. That thing gave away the whole movie.

    LFL has done an amazing job keeping visual leaks to a minimum.

    They have so much time until the premiere. We're getting footage and likely a look at vehicles and costumes at SWC.

    I don't think we get any kind of poster until May or June.

    I really hope whatever the official theatrical looks like, it promotes rather than summarizes the movie.
