I just finished watching it and it was the best episode so far for me. Very funny and there's some great character interactions throughout. I appreciate that they're not taking this series too seriously. I'm been meh so far, but I genuinely enjoyed this one and it made me laugh a few times. The only odd part is the romance between Jade and Kit. The two were established as a pair in the first episode and the back and forth between them seems like already covered territory. It was nice to see Jade have something else to do other than worry about her love interest. Lastly, the stuff with Rool was great.

This show is the definition of a guilty pleasure for me. I’m watching every episode. But, when getting together with family for Christmas, if anyone brings it up, I will absolutely pretend I’ve never heard of it.

Watching last week's episode right now. It's almost over. This is horrible. Horrible. Warwick Davis is awful. So is Boorman and the kids. The unfunny humor, dialogue that is out of place - willow just said "truth bombs" - and cheeseball villains, this is just terrible. One of the most disappointing experiences of my TV/movie watching life. Complete and total disservice to the movie.

Stop torturing yourself... there is allot of streaming content that will satisfy your appetite. I didn't think it was horrible. I watched the first two episodes and thought it was a fun watch. I might re-visit the actual film... thanks LFL and Disney+ for more content for my subscription... :D

I have to agree on this.
See that after last episode I didn't came here. After the aberration treatment of the trolls, the unfunny humour and the bad acting i just couldn't.
Have to say is one of my biggest disapppointments of my entire life as well.

Indeed is torturing me. But, you know, some people LOVE so much a thing. Is not like a "thing", is something deeper, is a meaning, a way to understand things, is a part of our lifes. Willow the movie is a BIG PART OF MY LIFE (my avatar says it all). First movie I went 2 times at theatre back in the day, when I was 12 (I remember like it was yestarday). Has been a big influention for my books (have written 2 of a fantasy medieval trilogy, unfortunately only in my mother language, an influention as SW, Goonies, Indiana Jones and all 80's stories), the way I see medieval action, the characters, the subtle humor and magic, the love, the good and the evil, the dark and the light.

Is torturing me because I wanted to be good (for my taste). And in general terms it could have been better! Plenty of real artists out there for posters, scripts, direction... Nothing of this project seems have love behind. And I want to finish it, CAUSE ITS WILLOW! A PART OF MY LIFE! Definetly I will not watch it again cause it makes me so sad, but I have to finish it. And also certainly to know in the future how not to do/explain some things.

The first episodes had some of the movie essence but all through next episodes all is vanished, and in a bad way.

Haven't seen today's episode biut for me is already a lost show. And am very very sad for it what represents.

The only think I could think of when I read this was to say congratulations for having such a wonderful life.

Turning back to the latest episodes.

The cinematography for an episode of TV is amazing. I would love to see some of this in Star Wars. Bravo all the way around.

Do we really have to turn EVERY thread here into a hating TRoS thread?

Is it possible to stay on topic just a little bit, and... I dunno... perhaps take into account that patrons get really demoralized when people keep pooping and pooping on stuff they are here to love, and that the kids who came to celebrate Star Wars here are being chased out of the Cantina? If you have stated the same opinion 500+ times over 50+ threads, or whatever, then... perhaps it is enough now?

Perhaps I should quit while I'm still ahead....if there is one thing I've found it's that Kylo Ren isn't popular on SW forums.
    Neither are his fans.
At the end of the day this is a forum for generic SW fans, rather for just those who liked the Skywalkers. It seems I've been depressing people, and apparently am making kids unhappy. This is for people who still love SW.
Have a nice New Year, everyone, and so long. It's been fun.;)

Hi Angelman, sorry to hear that, I quit once before and was tempted back, but you are right...I sound like a broken record. SW isn't for me anymore as I'm a Skywalker fan, they're all gone and unlike this old woman people want to move forward. I hope people will get the same pleasure out of the new characters as I did out of the old; my problem is I can say goodbye to SW...but not Kylo Ren. He is, and was, my favourite character.

All the best, thanks for having me.:)

Final episode was pretty good. I guess they plan on doing more. I'm curious what the numbers look like. The internet hated this series, but that's not always a good measure of reality. I had low expectations for the series, but I'd give it 3/5. The cast was great. It was funny at times. Lore is Harry Potterish in terms of being nonsensical.

I watched the first episode and found that it falls too far, for me, from theatrical quality in terms of story, dialogue, and the quality of the new characters.

It's all too 'televisiony'. I say: blegh. I won't be watching any further.

Apparently, he series has not been cancelled. It will be taken off the air to change its storytelling style a bit.

    Yeah.
They must change everything if they really want to make a second one.
The show was so wrong in so many levels.
Can't remember a single charismatic scene, character or shot in all episodes. To put an exemple, even the weakest Mandalorian episode has 20 cool shots in there and a serious touch.

Jon Kasdan definetly doesn't know what he has to do here. The shadow of his father is so big. And he is not his father as a writer. Not even close.
You can't put gags in every character every minute, you can't put those costumes in a medieval flick (western, rock, modern, hawaian... and that fancy one from the witch at the end....), you can't put those kind of trolls, you can't put that kind of music, you can't break Cherlindrea's wand in such disrepectful way, you can't make a rave party, you can't throw ideas here and there without sense and awful dialogs in every conversation...

    Biggest disappointmentnin 35 years

I hope they eventually made another one down the road, but I really don't know what audience it is for this IP. The movie isn't good. It wasn't a huge hit at the time. So making this for people who loved Willow is likely to bore anyone else.
I thought this was really the strength of the series. The cast of characters were great. There was plenty of chemistry there and the production values were very good.

Again though, what's the audience for this? 40 something fans who are generally tough to make happy? This only really works if they bring in new fans and maybe they did, but there's a lot of competition in this space now.

    Sorry, not agree.
It has an incredible production, real chemistry with all, natural performances with natural dialogs and humor, rhythm, great dark and light classic story and one of the greatest soundtracks ever.

I agree., it wasn't. But the huge fan base grew up at home, where it was a huge success. And it became a cult movie, and we can't deny it is.

It's perfectly ok to catch new generations. In fact this is what is all about, to gain new audiences and evolve.

But in my opinion even for young generations, this is not a good show. Why? because it shows (through its images and dialogs) no effort, no competent values in its production. We are showing to young generations that you can accomplish anything (music, cinema, paintings and illustrations, special effects... and art and life in general) without putting all the effort, skills and knowledge of one specialty.

What this show does is treat young audiences (like some music, movies and art in general) as dumb and not clever enough. And this is a big mistake.

But that's only my personal opinion.

I don't doubt there are some people who enjoyed it and I liked it as a kid, but it wasn't much of a success financially or critically. It's easy to inflate how popular something was a kid. I though Little Monsters was a huge cultural thing at the time since all the kids in my neighborhood liked it. I'm not sure how many people even remember it now.
I'm not insulting you for liking Willow so maybe you shouldn't insult those of us who liked the series.

After rewatching Willow (the film) a couple of years ago I realized it was kids film that I enjoyed as a kid, but it was a very poor movie. I'd have no desire to ever watch it again, but if I had to choose I'd rather sit through the TV series than the film.

Sorry if it sounded like this, it was not my intention at all. I think my statement says THE PEOPLE INVOLVED IN MAKING some kind of art, in this case a tv show, TREATS AUDIENCES as dumb people. I think (with my poor english) am not saying the audiences are dumb and am not insulting you for liking this show (lucky you you could enjoy it). Cause I am also a viewer and sometimes i feel they insult my intelligence, even surely am not very intelligent at all. I guess i can give this opinion cause sometimes, as a viewer, i feel like this.

Also I said it's a huge mistake to treat audiences like this specially because i really think audiences are not dumb.
    That was my intention.
My apologies if it sounded he other way.

Just watched the first 4 episodes, and this show is not bad. There's a lot to like here, even though the writing is a bit patchy and some of the characters feel superfluous and underdeveloped (i.e. I honestely think we could have done with a smaller cast). The drama is quite high in places, and the show goes really dark when it wants to! Ep.4 was particularly strong.

Warwick isn't a particularly good actor, to be honest, but he doesn't need to be in this show. He's alright and gets help from the rest to carry this thing. His daughter however, is amazing!
