Well, the Serkis' comments confirm, that most of the so called leaks we had so far are bantha poodoo.
I wasn't sure at first, but thanks to this community, I finally have my ''model'' to distinguish true leaks from false
accompanied by my experience with a true leaker in different franchise.

Do not trust anyone, who can't prove his creditibility. I can say as well, that I am part of Lucasfilm and choose a retarded nickname.
True leakers usually can prove it, be it by photo or information that you can find in the official materials and linking it to them.
Also, most people won't leak, because it is same as leaking info on a marketing strategy of your company and the consequences are pretty hard.
Working in prestigious job + with how hard is to build up a career, more so find a decent work, you can imagine it yourselves.
True leaker usually won't give such comprehensive info, only few of really shady outlines, or post some concept art anonymously.
Will usually won't give info himself, but by a third party if he isn't idiot.
What most people don't understand, that in this age, even if you are anonymous, you can be still traceable. Be it as simple as IP adress,
to more advanced tracking, which I heard that if serious blast happens (Warner Bros. and Nolan's case was almost a crusade),
they will hunt you pretty hard.
So even if a leaker is as crazy to give too much, company will notice in communities like this (as they have people who are simply on moinitoring tasks for stuff like this), and will shut him down hard and quite quickly.

Every line like: ''and he will do this and that, his history is this and this will happen and that'' is instant fabrication.

btw. I already mentioned that I witnessed the ''crazy too much to giveaway leaker'' in one community I am part of.
They let him trough with small project one time and next time, we haven't heard from him since. I think that his carrier is shattered and he has it quite hard,
which is pretty sad as it was his dream job (animator on a popular series).

Keep in mind, that the benefits from leaking are smaller than the benefits from the work you like, so leakers usually are frauds, who wanna have their spotlight
or anomalies of people, who can't get satisfied just simply by their job, credited somewhere under the sidelines and go all out like: ''Hey, just watch how cool I am''

I take all rumors as just a wish list of things people want to see.
Like most of the rumors that floated around when the prequels were being worked on. Most were not even close to what we actually saw.

There were a few people on various websites that did manage to nail a fact or 2 about the prequels here and there though.

I have not read this entire forum, I don't know which are the more prevalent rumors.
I do know that there are rumors I have heard from other people who do not post on any message boards that I read, that I have not really seen discussed here. (well maybe they have, but I haven't read them yet.)

    The first involves the TRI-Saber
Anyone familiar with the Ezra Lightsaber toy knows that it has a blaster built in.
The reason for that SUPPOSEDLY is because The Powers that be wanted you to see this type of weapon, before the Next movie.
The cross guard section is SUPPOSED to be a rapid firing blaster to injure or kill an opposing duelist in close quarters.
    LIKELY UN-TRUE, however cool idea.

The Next one is About C-3PO
I have not really seen this discussed much anywhere.
C-3PO apparently gives his life? (I guess it could be considered a life)
Protecting Luke during act 3. It is not know if he will survive.
This was actually discussed in a YouTube video and shared with me via a few emails from some spoiler junkies I know who CLAIM to be in the know. (they are not in the know..lol)
I kind of think something similar may be true due to a cryptic tweet by Anthony Daniels.

    "

Another Rumor being passed around and I think I even saw someone discussing it here
    Maisie Richardson-Sellers
A lot of my same spoiler junkie friends swear she is Ahsoka Tano.
I find this Highly un-likely however when looking at the Photo of here here and a Photo of Ahsoka, I could defiantly see a resemblance.

    [IMG] [IMG]

Last Rumor I haven't seen much talk of is who is now in charge of the Empire?
Who is leading the assault against the New Republic (rebels?)
The general consensus everywhere is that the SITH are not connected to the Remains of the empire.
There is a lot of speculation but one of my friends swears he knows for 100% Certain that LANDO is now leading the empire and thus why Finn is his son and Part of the Storm-trooper Brigade.
I don't believe Lando is a trader. I don't believe this one bit. But is would be a neat twist.

I have also read that some people believe that Han, Luke, General Veers, Thrawn, and even Leia Are really Leading the empire.

Rumors are just that. While a lot of neat ideas come from rumors, I highly doubt anything above is true, or that anything we think we know is true. The speculation and ideas are fun however, and I enjoy see what kind of speculations people can imagine when it comes to star wars.

Could your spoiler friends do a little math and see how old Ahsoka would be in TFA?

    I tried that argument.
They argue that Ahsoka's Species doesn't age like a human.

I like these rumors, whether true or not. Don't see how C3PO could ever be in the position to save anyone in a battle type situation, but his wording in that tweet is odd.

Ahsoka is a great character and I wouldn't mind at all to see her in a live action film. I think we need more alien main characters, personally. Technology isn't exactly preventing it any more.

Could you tell me what species Ahsoka is and what their usual life span is before you shoot down something like that?

Yoda was hundreds of years old in ESB. Since he was in the OT, it is therefore impossible he could ever be in the PT, right? Right?

Regardless of what is true of that batch of rumors, if any of it, thank you for posting, blazing bolt.

Togruta, nothing that I know of in canon regarding their lifespan but legends information has them living up to 94 standard years.

    http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Togruta

Ahsoka would probably be in her 70s around TFA.

The question is how does their appearance age, and does it matter if she is going to have makeup and prosthetics to give her an alien appearance anyway?

And maybe the real truth is she is not in TFA but in a spin-off that takes place closer to the OT.

I think it's very unlikely we will see her in TFA or any other film release. I think she would make a great character to spin-off or put into another film though, so I will always hold out hope. I doubt there is enough of a following to really move them to do much with her, except for maybe a Rebels tie-in or something.

Pure speculation, but based on the discussions related to her in the Rebels section, I kinda get the feeling there was a good chance she was on Alderaan when the Death Star blew it up. So, personally I don't think she would show up in TFA but if she did I could believe it if they did it right.

Hadn't heard anything about that yet. That would be a great way to tie up her story, and a novel or something set right afterwords could reference Vader having felt her dying via the force and show how he deals with the feelings that come up.

Uh, no. Not to be rude, but if/when they kill her off, it would be in a meaningful way. Not a simple, blunt "rocks fall, everyone dies" retcon. That would be a complete disservice to everyone involved. In fact, having character x or y be on Alderaan to explain how they died would be the lazy way of telling a story (Bail Organa is an exception to this because his death actually meant something to Leia, and because his character wasn't fleshed out until the Prequel Trilogy). I doubt that they'd use that as a plot device.

Ahsoka Tano is Dave Filoni's baby. If he were to kill her off (and I'd imagine that she would die before the events of the Sequel Trilogy), it would be in a meaningful way. She would probably face off against her former master Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader, lose, and start to put him on the path to redemption. If not that, then maybe she'd pass a bit of knowledge onto Luke Skywalker before simply dying of natural causes. But they aren't going to just say 'Oh, remember that character who was the narrative focus of many episodes of The Clone Wars? Screw her, we'll lazily bump her off in a mean-spirited way!'

Am I the only one here who REALLY doesn't want to see Ashoka in TFA? I always found her quite annoying.

Did you watch the show past the first season? Her character greatly improved once she got past the stupid pet names she gave Anakin and R2-D2.

(I don't really want to see her in The Force Awakens, either, but for different reasons.)

Honestly I don't like the idea of it because it is Ahsoka, really. I just think it would be a great idea to have a lead character as a humanoid alien race. That way it doesn't have to be complete CGI. It just so happens that most humanoid races having males that look really silly, usually. A twilek would be excellent as well.

I don't see how anyone could be passionately against it, really.

Yeah, she certainly improved over time. I just could never get invested in her character though, and I hated how the last season (the only season I believe I watched completely) focused on her more than the other characters. I may need to rewatch them someday to see if I'm missing anything, but I've got no pressing urge to.

Something tells me there will be no Clone Wars characters in TFA.

    Well maybe Yoda.

    Or Yoda's voice.

Good point, I didn't think of it that way. Maybe then she felt the same disturbance Obi-Wan felt when the planet blew up and decided it was time to come out of hiding and confront Vader/Anakin, assuming she hadn't done that prior to those events.
