don't know? Christian is a type of religion but the web site may be totally unrelated. It's called Christian today and it's one if the many sites I have come across looking for Star Wars stuff.

 

Cool, I have come across some strange places that talk about Star Wars but am to embarrassed / shy to link them

 

I just can't see that. It can be argued that Han and Leia are the most iconic couple of the SW universe - since Padme and Anakin were a hot mess. Their story was a huge part of what is arguably the best film of the six - ESB. I can't see Luke being the member of the OT 3 that had a "family" and a kid. Too much filler explanation is needed if Han/Leia break up, she has kids with someone else, Luke has a kid with someone we don't know..... Han and Leia with a kid really needs no explanation because they were together when we last left them. Not to say Luke won't have any offspring. But I doubt he will and Han/Leia won't. And if this is Han's goodbye and he has a major role in this film, you can bet there will be a storyline about him being a father, rather just being a random sidekick to some kids. Rey wouldn't even be his niece if Han/Leia broke up. Again, his connection to the new generation would be tenuous under your scenario. Whereas Luke has much to pass on as a jedi master and will be a father figure anyway, regardless of his biological connection to any of the newbies. That being said, it's possible Luke has a kid, but I wager that kid would have a Solo cousin.

 

Amazingly, you will find a lot of religious sites that use SW as a touchstone to discuss morality issues with a younger generation

 

I wonder how much Rey will remind us of Nausicaä—a fantastic movie by the way.

Kathleen Kennedy produces a lot of the English versions of Studio Ghibli and Miyazaki's stuff (she's a fan). Mark Hamill has been a voice actor in Nausicaä and more.

 

Is my dream coming true? A future staff saber for Rey. Perhaps it has already been mentioned, and I don't know why I didn't think to look into things until now, but has anybody identified Chloe Bruce's most proficient weapon...... Yes, it appears to be the Bo-staff. Obviously, it has been speculated that she is Ridley's stunt double and was hired for her acrobatic skill, but why would you waste the additional talent.

Rey could have an Electrostaff, melee junk parts staff, etc. attached below? ...evolving into the Lightsaber staff.



Admittedly, I did not look at every last you tube video, but it is the weapon she demonstrates most often, outside of her jumping around, kicking and throwing fists.

 

It's not speculation anymore.

We've read from various reports and concept art that she is a lightsaber wielder; either a Jedi or on the road to becoming one. Additionally this was said recently

 

Ok, fair enough, it's official. Can anybody (someone with a supposed source) confirm what 'type' of lightsaber we can expect her to be using within these movies - outside of what we saw with the first wave of concept art? I have not seen any videos with Chloe using a sword, so to speak, although I'm sure she could be trained very quickly. Why would you get someone who plays with a staff all day to not use a 'staff' in the movie(s). If folks can't confirm to protect sources, whatever.., then give me a percentage, like 80% chance Rey will don a staff lightsaber in this trilogy.

 

Depends on how many kyber crystals she has or perhaps she inherits Darth Mauls after a dead torso is found flying through space and is brought to her by the will of the force.

I really hope that Daisey Ridley character Rey is Skywalker. Daughter of Luke.

 

Well likely her first sabre will be the found one. The thing on her speeder might be a gaffi stick, the metal stick the tuskan raider had over head when he attacked Luke in ANH.

 

Seriously. Go look at the staff on her speeder.

It has every marking of some sort of lightsaber.

To think other wise is blinded logic.

It has every single marking, and unless she's using the extended Rod as a tool to hide what it really is, then it's a staff.

It's painfully obvious.

 

We discussed it before, the main thing supporting your point is what looks like an activation switch, I'm not sure if I'm ready to jump on the "lightsaber staff" train yet. I think what she has there is similar to the rifle Luke had in ANH, but I am ready to be proven wrong

 

And it has a very similar design on both ends as this lightsaber

I want a return of the ancient sith double bladed light saber in the ST!! Im sure everyone knows they were invented at the time of the old sith empire but imagine andy serkis character with a double bladed saberstaff having a duel with his apprentice kylo that would be AWESOME!!!! (assuming you all understand the rule of two)

Well I looked at gaffi sticks and I was mistaken about handle.

However my logic is still blinded. Because I would need to see more of whatever that is before I stared maligning the reasoning skills of people who though different.

 

But what fun would that be?

 

I think if was going to make a call it looks a lot like this weapon.
