Not being alive at the end of the movie is not the same as definitely won't appear in future episodes. Before I cite my chosen charity, are you suggesting Rey will be dead, mostly dead, Jedi dead, or Plagueis dead?...

 

Or Porkins dead?

 

Maybe they flip the scene just for the trailer for consistency reasons?

 

I am on the side of she will be alive and is a main character but concept art never proves anything. Probably 50% of it makes it into the film and that 50% looks different from what is shown in the art.

This is a very large reason why a lot of our theories will be wrong when we go sit down to watch the final product. So much of what people think the plot is and who the characters are has been based off of some leaked concept art. Like I said I am on the side of her being a main character but I see this all too often. Someone puts out their theory and someone shoots it down with.."but look at the concept art".

It's kind of like a car. You see the concept of it and then you see what actually gets produced. Instead of cost being a factor, in film making its more based on where they want to story to go or what is going to make the film better.
You're not likely to ever see this driving anywhere because it didn't happen this way.

I'd still like to hear your explanation of how you came to this conclusion rather than just stating your conclusion

 

Clearly this Rian guy is a regular Jordan Belfort trying to sell us on a stock that goes bust right away!

 

I know who Mr Johnson is I just don't understand the statement.

Besides if I post what I know or not you will say that I am trolling. I have obviously upset a lot of posters, do you think I enjoy that? I guess I am back tracking a little bit when I say I don't know 100% But from what I have posted you can tell I was / am very angry from what I have heard. Maybe I have jumped the gun and I will apologies for that. In the fullness of time I will release what I have. This is not a friend of a friend thing nor do I know anyone from pinewood. Am not the bloke who goes round making false concept art and releasing
fake scripts and actually I do care. Me snapping with what I know was done more with anger rather than spreading nastiness. If I have upset anybody I will and do now apologize.

However, I'm still standing by my wager and also I have no problem with Miss Ridley. I'm sure she is a fine actress, very kind and a stunning looking one at that.

The cantina is pretty accepting of people claiming to know something. If you do know something than share it, we aren't going to say you're trolling. The trolling and anger came from you coming in and saying a lot of stuff about Ridley and JJ without anything backing it up. You've been very humble and apologetic since those first few posts and I can understand how it must feel coming in and getting bombarded with a lot of hate. For example, I'm a rankings guy for high school wrestling and one day after a particular batch of rankings I spent the day receiving angry phone calls, it's a day I keep in mind whenever I do rankings.

If you don't want to share what caused you to believe Ridley is only a bit player then that's fine, but know that we will at the very least give whatever you post the benefit of the doubt. This is the site where "Pip Anderson is Kylo Ren" still has some followers after all.

Absolutely. If you claim to know something and have the info to back it up I'm sure everyone wants to hear it even if it's not the most creditable source all things are considered.
It's the people who post things and use terms like "The character is definitely this" or "they are confirmed" and then avoid questions about how they know something is definite that bug me. If something hasn't been officially confirmed don't use the term confirmed please. Everything here is SPECULATION unless OFFICIALLY confirmed.

It is a shame I missed your posts earlier (thanks Dwight for tagging me)... I appreciate your passion for Star Wars. That's something NOT UP FOR DEBATE.

And just a little background on my own experience here: sometimes we debate... scratch that, oftentimes we debate heatedly... but we still generally enjoy each other's contributions, one way or another. It's never personal. We challenge each other's thinking/spoilers/scoops as a way of sharpening our individual thinking and collectively solving small pieces of the puzzle.

That said, dropping bombshells is fun, and very much appreciated. (I LIVE FOR IT MYSELF, THE WILDER THE BETTER) But expect at least some questions in regards to the info you're sharing. And perhaps be prepared to answer some of them. You can choose not to, of course. But that's why someone may be inclined to give you a Trolling rating... because of the drive-by nature of the info, and the lack of any argument for its logic. That's just the nature of messageboards in general.

You can't scream FIRE and expect people to not ask WHERE and just accept it because you're willing to place a bet on it.

TL;DR Apology accepted! Please come back and share anything else you may know. Thanks bud! Or send me a private message... I'm all ears/antennae, and never leave my hive/cave without level 99 troll armour, so no worries.
