While Portman is clearly a babeasaurus rex, and possibly at her peak babeness in the PT...when you see her in Leon, Black Swan or Jackie....and wonder how she was handled in those PT films...dont make sense

I love the freshness of the prequels. The usual bad blockbuster is bad because we've seen it before--it's generic, bland, etc. etc. But the prequels, even though they largely fail, are like nothing we've seen before. Not even like Star Wars, for better or worse. Visually, conceptually, plot-wise, it's all so fresh. And that keeps me coming back to them, even though I see their problems.

It’s really interesting how an actor like McGregor excelled in the PT where Portman and Jackson came off as wooden. I honestly don’t have an answer.

TPM I loved Qui-Gonn....a Jedi through and through. What I imagine Jedis were like in the Old Republic....

AOTC I loved the battle scenes....my sons are huge Clone Trooper fans so this movie had a lot to offer

ROTS of course the final battle between Obi-Wan and Anakin.....

I like that its different from the original trilogy, and we get to see more of the the Star Wars universe. The prequel broaden the Star Wars mythology just like the sequel trilogy will and hopefully RJ's new trilogy will as well.

My favorite aspect of the PT is that once it was done it made the core story of Star Wars be the story of the rise, fall and redemption of Anakin Skywalker. To me it made his redemption in the OT more meaningful.

Not sure if this is still the core story of Star Wars anymore now that we have the ST. Seems to not be the case but I suppose we will have to wait and see once we have Ep. 9

I think the prequel had the best story of all versions, while originals were not far behind, but these new ones so far are quite a mess.

Like others, for me the PT and the story of Anakin Skywalker (his rise and fall) makes his redemption in ROTJ more meaningful and impactful.

Almost everything. This was the most coherent of the SW trilogies. A very clear 3-act/3-movie structure. Best design. Best action. Best cast. Just brilliant.

I like how it ended before I was really into watching movies. And Obi Wan. Great portrayal and brilliant acting by Ewan Mcgregor.

The conversation that Anakin and Palpatine have in ROTS about the Jedi and their views is one of the best SW moments in my opinion.

In my opinion the prequels are very good, and I don't understand how people are sh*tting so much on them, they are pretty damn decent movies, the whole story and how everything unfolds is great.
Yes I do agree some acting and stuff like that could be better made and also while the story is great some scenes or things are dragged a bit too long while others are too short or non existant, and how some things happen too fast like anakin becoming "evil" and on palpatine's side too fast, but overall how the story all develops is very good in my opinion.

The prequels are mostly dull, except for ROTS. Sith is better than the original trilogy, and has sufficient depth to compare to The Force Awakens

    The good:
    1. The actors. Great actors.
    2. I loved the political stuff (although I might be the only one). I especially like fact that Palpatine is in place by the end of Episode I.
    3. The Jedi in their prime. It was great to see what they had once been.
    4. Coruscant. What a place that would be to visit!
    5. Darth Maul. What a bad ass.

    The bad:
    1. The acting. Jesus, could George learn how to bloody give actors direction?
    2. The digital effects. It was just too much digital and the technology wasn't quite ready for it.
    3. Jake Lloyd. The weak link when it came to the actors.
    4. Making Anakin 8 and Padme 13. I would have made Anakin 18.
    5. The use of 1930's/40's style "Japanese" accents for the Trade Federation guys. I would have had them speak an Alien language and just use captions.
    6. I hated the way Obi-Wan is shown to be a bad ass (only Jedi to defeat a Sith lord in what, 1000 years?) and then, in Episodes II and III he looks like a punk (except in that last fight with Grievous and Anakin).

I won't mention the Gungun as he get's enough crap (but he would not be on the good list, that's for sure).

The lightsaber fights! i know many found them to choreographed but for me that where always what i pictured to fight like before the prequels came out.

Ian Mcdiarmid, Ewan Mcgregor, Christopher Lee, Ray Park, and Matthew Wood's performances. They're just so good. Ray Park doesn't have a single line of dialogue yet you can tell everything Darth Maul is feeling.
