    The only problem with Fett is... You expect me to believe he got spit out by the Sarlacc and has spent the last 30 years replacing limbs and COLLECTING ARTIFACTS?! That's a big stretch. I would imagine his character would use the galactic turmoil as leverage to raise his bounty hunting rates. There would be a huge market for his skill-set, especially with the Empire's in-fighting and the burgeoning Republic still somewhat in its infancy.

    I do agree with you that fans would GET Boba Fett sooner than some of the other characters being suggested. It would also be supreme fan service... not sure it would help the story though.

    Let's make a list of characters from the PT who the AVERAGE STAR WARS FAN would remember, who could be this mystery figure (Remember, their reveal is supposed to be a dramatic WTF moment... they are also supposed to be non-force users, hence the clones of random Jedi):

    Padme
    Qui-Gon
    Boba Fett
    Grievous
    Anakin (cloned Hayden version)
    Sheev (cloned young version)
    Obi-Wan (clone)
    Darth Maul (clone)

    The post as a whole is probably some truth with crap thrown in for good measure.

    A cloned Sheev could work the best in my opinion.

    I know - I don't know how you explain that bit. Lots of time to think on his past while being slowly digested?

    Fett's going to be in this movie SOMEWHERE. He's one of the most loved characters of the OT. It would be interesting if Kasdan created a way for him to be relevant to this and not just a cameo.

    Total Nerd segue - not sure if there are any Battletech fans here? Frederick Steiner was a "bad guy" in classic Battletech who gave up his quest to become Archon of the Lyran Commonwealth and went to a monastery. Later he reemerges as Anastasius Focht - military genius of Comstar. Anyway, Max Von Sydow looks (or the character does) just like him. So having a redeemed Boba Fett played by Sydow would be a weird (for me at least) synchronicity. There - nerd stroke over.

    There was a rumor I read last night that put forth Gwendoline Christie as not only a former Sith Inquisitor, but also Boba Fett. (She has a unique armor set is what a different person mentioned. That could be Fett's.) Also, according to the first guy, she kills Han... little revenge for the Sarlacc action. IMAGINE THE SALTY TEARS MIXED WITH BOBA FANBOYS GOING WILD.

    I like some of the ideas this guy has written about. I have no reason to doubt them.

    Personally, I hope the romantic partners are different, I guess personally, I really like the whole idea about how Daisy Saves Boyega, and helps him turn good, and then he does the same later on in the forest. (if those rumors are true)

    But hey, I didn't write it, so if its different then there is probably a better reason why.

    I always have a theory I am willing to share. I was almost SURE that the voice was Driver through a mask. And I am positive that Darth Plaguies will not show up again.

    That'd be something. That's the first thing that crossed my mind when they announced Max Von Sydow would be in this film. Boba Fett survives the Sarlacc, and is put back together with cybernetic parts. The Boba Fett nerds would probably love this...or hate it? I don't know. No disintegrations, please.

    I had to look that up. I can't believe in all this time I never knew his first name. Is it a recent addition, like in the Plagueis book (which I haven't read) or something mentioned off-hand in the prequels?

    Fairly new. I believe it was disclosed in one of the new books that does fall under canon. I want to say the Plageous novel? Can someone confirm/deny/correct?
