I have a man cave with the walls covered with potf figures still in cards collections 1 thru five red and green. If anyone needs certain figures I am willing to part with some Iif I have doubles of the ones you are looking for but let me know which collection. I also have a friend who deals in this stuff as his day to day job so I can have him look for specific toys when I know exactly what I want. Currently trying to get him to join the cantina

That's very awesome of you to offer that. I don't think I could say the same if I still had my old collection. I sold it a few years ago and now concentrate only on collecting Han Solo, since that is draining my bank account as is. :p Course I'm collecting high ticket original Kenner stuff now.

I brought a few to open and display.

Never saw them as investments, and when shortly afterwards getting into the importing of toys for retailers, I predicted their downfall in value as I imagined with every odd year, better resculpts would be released.

Sure, the vintages come with a heavy price, but they too have lost about maybe half to 3 quarters of their peak value over the last 5-7 years due to the increasing supply of newer versions each year.

Look at everyone that spent a fortune on 1/6 Star Wars Sideshows over the last decade. Since the accouncment of Hot Toys redoing the 1/6 line, the Sideshows are starting to collapse into bargain bins on ebay.

Same story with the infamous Joker 1 of Hot toys - Worth a fortune shortly after it's release. 4 years later lost half of that value when version 2 was announced.

If you want to invest, buy a physical assist like land or a classic car or physical minerals.

Toys... only have value during the height of their demand, and later on shrinks down to the handful of nostalgia hunters.
