SPECULATION A new Star Wars open world/RPG game

I just love KOTOR I and II and thought TOR was a completely different game and didn't like it. I would love to have a version for XBOX One

 

I'd like either the cancelled 1313 game to come back or a KOTOR reboot to fit in the new continuity.

 

Great thinking. Yeah I never read any of the EU books (i knew some of the stories from friends) so I was never too upset about them all becoming "legends" non canon, but I'm still upset KOTOR I and II are no longer canon. I would love if they could somehow rework it and make it canon.

 

Yeah I think so. You either played as Boba Fett or you created a Bounty Hunter and worked with Boba Fett.

 

The more I'm thinking about it I think it'd be cool to have an open world game like KOTOR except instead of thousands of years before Ep I it'd be cool to play in a more modern time period where the jedi temple is on coruscant and that's where you learn the ways of the jedi. Something similar to the game Fable where you start in a village and then someone notices you have jedi powers and decides to train you on coruscant. You could grow up learning the ways and then when you were old enough go on your own missions to different planets with your padawan and other companions. There you could decide which path to take: the dark or the light.

I love having the choice of different paths in games because each playthrough is a different experience and sometimes an altogether different game.

I'd like more freedom too, not a set storyline so you can travel to many different planets not just ones that advance the story.
And many difference races to choose from, so you're not stuck as just a human.

 

Ooh that last suggestion is a good one. WOOKIEE JEDI. It'd never lose. Think about the reach a wookiee has.

 

I never got a round to playing that game. It was gone by the time I got into playing PC games.

Me too. Space was my favorite part of the game.

Which server did you play on?

 

I'd be content with something along the lines of Grand Theft Auto, but you play as Han Solo just before the events of A New Hope. That would make me upgrade from my ancient PS2.

A game I would love to play open world would be kinda like Star Wars galaxies. I loved that game and was sad when they shut it down. I think it would be great to play as a character who is force sensitive and you progress through discovering your powers to jedi training and taking an apprentice. If they did a game like this I would love to see it get deep into the jedi training and trials. Things like building your saber and starship/landspeeder would be cool.

Also I love the idea of an open world Star Wars game but to me it has to be open galaxy. I wouldn't want to be stuck on one planet the whole game. I think it would be cool if the game opens up on one planet and your kind of stranded like luke was in ANH and something happens that opens the galaxy to you and gives importance to the ability to travel to different places.
