SPECULATION A new Star Wars open world/RPG game

a cross between kotor and skyrim. skyrim has been my favorite rpg of late. I like it more that the recent bioware attempts, and I always like kotor much more than older elder scrolls games. but skyrim hit the mark just right for me between character building, freedom, action, choice, huge world, it was great.

 

I read somewhere that 1313 is making a come back so maybe this is it?

 

Does anybody else think that a ED (Elite Dangerous) type game would be amazing in Star Wars. You could either choose to be an Imperial Tie Fighter and climb your way up to Grand Admiral or choose to be an X Wing pilot and become a captain of a corvette or Mon Cal cruiser. You could go and become a smuggler and work for Jabba or be a lone wolf. You could be a Bounty Hunter and work for either side but with more risk. Just a thought.

 

I would love a game where it takes you from the Jedi Initiate (youngling phase) to Jedi Knight, to training your Padawan to Knight and being promoted to Jedi Master. Of course customizing your appearance, race, species, etc. The dialogue function of a Tell Tale Game and the combat of a JK game. With cameos from famous Jedi (Mace, Yoda, Anakin, Obi-Wan). Maybe the game can end with Order 66.

 

Same, Xbox One needs a good Jedi/force user rpg

 

Absolutely spot on. I would love a SWG pre-NGE reboot with upgraded graphics. Possibly playing with where it occurred on the timeline would be good too.

 

I chose new plot, but let me explain:
I don't care if it's set in the old Republic, and could even be a reimagining of KOTOR, much like Thrawn has also been reimagined in the new canon.
Or, even a Clone Wars game (though that would be less preferrential).
An open world game in the GCW or after it and before TFA would be cool.

Basically, anything other than an MMORPG, really.

 

kotor with less stuff that looks like its way more advanced than the stuff people have 4000years later.

 

I think it will be something new! But I really loved KOTOR. I haven't been able to play TOR since I haven't had a PC in a while that would be able to play it well. I would really like a KOTOR that pushes the graphics of the present console generation and expands the new cannon or helps reestablish past cannon.

 

I voted for a Galaxies remake, mainly because I never got to play the original as I've been a console gamer since the mid 80's. I was always jealous of PC gamers because this game and the freedom it gave you, wouldn't be a problem for consoles now.

 

I voted Galaxies Remake but would also gladly accept a Star Wars RPG done in the style of the Elder Scrolls/Fallout

 

New plot/story. I wouldn't say no to a remake of KOTOR or something but if the question is what I'd rather have, a remake or a new game, I'd definitely prefer to get something new.

 

My thoughts exactly. The big D has so much potential for new and engaging stories across all platforms now. Why stop at the movies and animated shows? Lets have new adventures and new characters with exciting new stories! Lets make some new legends from simple origins and expand the Galaxy of Star Wars!

I would love to see a remake of KOTOR. Revan is such a famous character, and he needs to continue being part of the new canon. That era also has no impact on the Trilogy eras.
My favorite idea is an mmorpg that is has many open worlds, choose you path, actions and choices have vast consequences. Similar to the Elder Scrolls series.

 

Star Wars: Battlefront worked well for EA as a reboot, what are the odds they do the exact same with KOTOR? I say pretty high.

 

Like what was said here earlier, I want to see a mix between KOTOR and Skyrim. Imagine it taking place amidst the galactic civil war. In the beginning you can select your species, gender, and class. It would have very in depth customization. Also you could choose your alignment and side with the empire or rebellion. There is so many things they could do with this idea. Possibilities are endless.
