Leida is a rich girl with family problems too. I'm sure that's not a coincidence. Is she going to rebel too? Probably. But will it be to denounce her mother?

Yes! The Kleya/Leia thing got me too but Leia is 13 or 14 years old at this point.
After this episode Kleya seems almost protective of Luthen. Also according to Luthen, Kleya can always reach him when he is away. She's probably the only one with unfettered access to him. I also found it odd that during that tense conversation between Luthen and Mon after the heist that Kleya was listening in over a comlink from the back room.

Watch specially the finale of THE BAD BATCH "The Loss of Kamino" and you'll get what I mean ;)

That cannot be a simple coincidence, but I think it's actually not so important.
Like "Keefe Girgo" and "Greef Karga", or formerly in the GL movies "Wookie" and "Ewok" and even "Obiwan" that comes from the synth "OB1" who was used to voice Artoo... just a nod, according to me there is nothing deep here.

Perhaps something in the way of the story between Maarva and Cassian.
What's sure is that, between Luthen and Kleya, it is not a love affair, it is not a parent/daughter affair, it is not a flirting affair, and it is not a simple boss/employee affair.

I've seen that episode. I get the vibe, but I think even in a GFFA there are architectural design patterns that occur over and over for the same reasons, like steel and glass being cheaper than just steel. You can make the same arguments about the underwater tunnels in Fortress Inquisitorius on Nur that were shown in Obi Wan. Sure, they can remind you about Kamino, and a thousand other places too.

That makes me really antsy... I'm guessing not even Luthen knows about that. If she can hear them, there is a chance ISB could eventually get their ears on that transmission too.

Has someone thought about the pieces they are building in prison?
Some videos on yt say are Probe Droids or TIE parts, but the majority seems agree are Death Star pieces or even from Star Destroyers.
But I guess it could be everything.

As the show takes so seriously the little details, I would like to think we have seen these pieces before. Could be nice to find out.

It's just a listening device between the front and the back of the shop. I doubt there's anything to it but a closed circuit. No transmissions. Nothing that a third party can intercept. Nevertheless. The anxiety that these little things induce in the audience isn't accidental. Luthen was the first one to point out the dangers of any connection you don't control. When Vel pulled out an old Imperial comm-link during the heist, Cassian flinched but he knew it was too late to protest. And he knew they would be discovered somehow at some point. It's because Luthen now knows that ISB have surveillance powers on certain comms that he, at Keyla's insistence, shuts the link to Ferrix down and ignores Bix.

Saw Gerrera: What are you Luthen?

Luthen: I was a Jedi... I gave an agent my Kyber crystal... I want justice. I am tired of hiding. I want to walk the halls of my temple once again.

So, yeah the kyber crystal went over my head, but someone pointed it out to me... thoughts?

...I know, no Jedi in this series' premise... but hey, you never know... at least we got Dave Filoni's Tales of the JEDI... hehe(duel)

On another note, Palpatine will make an appearance. He will not be the Palpatine we are familiar with, the cackling Sith lord we will not see, but a smooth calculating politician at odds with Mon Mothma... with astute writing!!!

    4 more days till ANDOR.

Also, Ahmed Best portrayed two characters in AotC as did Anthony Daniels, and Jeremy Bullock played two characters in TESB. Mark Hamill did the same in TLJ. There are probably lots more of these double-dips.

Yes, I have seen some of these, there's a lot of fun trivia surrounding these appearances. Majority are background and stand-in type appearances like Best and Bullock, and non-human or masked roles. I guess Serkis fits the formula since Snoke was CGI but he's also hardly a cameo in Andor, making his double dip a bit more significant than most(?).

I think they're purposely ambiguous just to add to the sense of repetitive monotony in the prison. Big clunky parts for the big Imperial Machine.

That being said, I think the parts being for the Death Star make the most sense on several levels... There's irony in the fact that Cassian and Melshi are literally building the weapon they will eventually help to destroy, and in the process, be killed by that weapon. Secondly, this facility is producing thousands of these per day, so it must be for something of a massive scale such as the Death Star.

Regarding the thingymsajigs, I wonder if they are the central spokes-part of TIE wings?

Would they need to be hinged? The hubs of these things looks kinda rounded, like they're part of the framework under the outer skin of the Death Star. Then again, the end of each spoke has a piece that looks like a stylized Imperial symbol... odd place for detail if another piece fits over and covers that. It's fun to speculate what these giant Lego pieces are for but it's probably totally irrelevant and more than likely there is no correct answer.

As the interview to director Haynes says in:

"Also, interestingly, Haynes dodged a question about what they are building inside the prison:

” It’s the building blocks of the Empire, but that’s probably a question for Tony. “

Interesting..maybe we will get an answer some day.
Maybe Haynes doesn't really know what exactly is, or he knows only Gilroy can answer that when time is come.

But definetly some parts of a massive scale project has a lot of sense.

Also cool after this prison time Andor will know more about they are building. He will tie things in Kafrene (RO scene) when the spy tells him the Empire is building a big weapon like a planet killer and also nned kyber crystals.
