Can a Force Ghost decide to go to the Dark Side?

    So only Light Side force sensitives can become a Force Ghost? That is what I read somewhere...If you die as a Light side and become a Force ghost can you switch sides and help Dark Side users?

    This could actually be important if Anakin (force Ghost Anakin) decided to show his grandson the power of the dark side...

    Considering that the Force Ghost ability is one that only Light Siders can use, I highly doubt it.

    Considering that Obi-Wan tried to force Luke to choose an aggressive stance against Anakin and commit patricide, then . . . yeah. Even a Force Ghost can make the wrong choices, whether evil was or not, the Ghost's intent.

    I really like this question, I'm wondering about this myself. If we take a Sith for example, they take a new *persona* if you will, by taking on the Darth title. Could it be possible, let's say in the case of Darth Vader, that he has the Anakin Skywalker force ghost as well as the dark side counterpart Darth Vader ghost?

    Huh I don't really think you can because the only way to become a force ghost is being on the light side of the force when you die...remember that ghosts can't physically interfere with the living either but they can appear to pretty much anyone.

    Well, technically, in Clone Wars, we did get to see a force ghost of Darth Bane in a way wouldn't you say?

    Oh, I was under the impression it was an imprint of Darth Bane's that tried to lure Yoda away from the knowledge he seeked. I would have thought that if Luke would have dismissed Obi Wan's ghost in Empire or Jedi, he would have vanished the same way... I know Yoda calls it an illusion, but I believe this is before he realized that Qui Gon found a way to interac with the living...

    But that still doesn't answer the OP's original question, how did Anakin showed Kylo/Ben the dark side?
    Wasn't there an idea to have Anakin appear as a ghost as a blend of Vader and Anakin? Like half is face Anakin and they other Vader?

    Do you think they removed that as to avoid confusing the fans about Anakin's redemption?

    They probably removed it because it didn't make sense and it contradicted what force ghosts are...the idea was actually made in passing by a concept artist because there was no script/story when the artists started their work, and btw Bane was some sort of imprint or holocron or something like that.
