    I think she and those TV movies were wiped from official canon, and I can't say I blame Disney for doing so.

    If I recall correctly, in 2014 Disney stated that only the 6 theater films (the OT and the PT) as well as the The Clone Wars animated series are canon, and anything they released after April 2014. The rest is to be considered "Legends", as if they were a fantasy to a fantasy.

    Well, it's complicated, but I can understand why they did it. Things were way to cluttered with all the official releases by way of the TV movies and games, as well as all the books. They needed to start fresh for various reasons. It was a tough pill to swallow, but necessary medicine for the future of the franchise in my opinion.

    On the positive side, I don't think Disney ever said "These will never be canon again." They simply said "These are not canon at this time", so they could potentially bring them back in, or even redo the stories with either the same characters or new ones inspired by them.

    I have a hunch she's either a droid or MAYBE a cyborg. We've seen lots and lots of concept stuff for Kylo be repurposed for other characters. What if it's Phasma who inherited the gnarly cyborg thing? Her voice is so calm and measured. Reminds me of a sultry RoboCop, you know?

    I would love that, but I feel like that's unlikely...
    Unless Warwick Davis actually is reprising his role as Wicket, and one of this trilogy's subplots is Wicket trying to redeem Cindel. I don't know why, but suddenly I really want that.

    If I remember they said that her role will be upgraded for VIII and IX. I can't imagine such a mysterious character would just pfft.
