Is Captain Phasma this generation's Boba Fett?

TPTB wanted her to be and probably still do but so far it seems that TR8Tr has achieved more of the Boba Fett sequel popularity. Although Phasma does tick all the Boba Fett boxes:

1. Look cool.
2. Do nothing.
3. Get disposed of like humorous trash.

 

Yes, I just don't think there is enough room for her to have a decent sized role in this trilogy. I'd be fine with it if they just left her out of the next two films. Just say she died on Starkiller and move on without her. I'm sure that Disney loved the money they made off her toys though.

 

If they bring her back, which they are because Christie is listed as a cast member (unless she has a different role, which would be cool too), then they won't kill her like Boba Fett lol.

She'll go down fighting and not swallowed by a Little Sarlaac of Horrors (ugh, I hate that special edition ROTJ).

 

She has potential (or lack thereof?) to be.

The difference is, she still has two movies in which she can actually make some waves.

Unless of course, she actually died in the SKB explosion. If that's the case, she's probably even vastly more overrated than Boba.

Still, I like them both. I'm a sucker for aesthetics.

 

Can't be too much of a fan of aesthetics! Aesthetics are a big part of Star Wars.

And hey, for PT fans, Phasma is a reference to Naboo starships, so that should be cool.

 

Wow if that were the case then Disney is doing a really bad job at it. Phasma did absolutely nothing in TFA and ended up being thrown in the garbage.

 

She has no where to go but up after TFA.

Unless she dies.

 

I think that the people at Disney and Lucasfilm know of the disappointment in her at this point and will do more with the character moving forward to make her more of a fan favourite after TFA (to live up to the pre-TFA hype)
