The Youtuber, Jar Jar Abrams, is a sad, pathetic troll who twists the words of Hamill, Lucas and others to bash TFA, Abrams, Rian Johnson, Kennedy and anyone else associated with the sequel trilogy out of an unhealthy, obsessive hate. This is, in large part, to his aversion to a strong female protagonist at the center of this trilogy. His videos are a haven for sequel trilogy-bashing losers who also complain about Rey as well as the casting of minorities. So you get an idea of what kind of people are behind it all.

As I've mentioned, its easier to hate things. He's typical of the stereo-typical, "Aint it Cool News" commenting, trash pile. It's much more productive to ignore narrow-minded nerf-herders. He's just posts click-bate because he can't do anything productive for the betterment of society.

I'm kinda echoing everybody else, but I doubt this is true.

Even if it is, Mark can still have his own opinion. Harrison Ford supposedly didn't really care for Han's fate in ROTJ, or coming back for any other movies for that matter, but most still like Han Solo as a character. I'd say the same applies here.

Even if Mark is not liking the direction or the character of Luke, I seriously doubt he'd go public with it, certainly not with the film still in production. Maybe 10 years down the road he might say something. I'm guessing this is some wild rumor to get fans all riled up. However, I read somewhere that Mark and Irvin Kershner didn't much like each other.

Unfortunately there is a trend on YouTube to use misleading or clickbait titles to sway potential viewers to click for this full story. It's like sites that promote garbage about Robin Williams, or "you won't believe what this mother did". It's cheap and it hurts legitimate YouTube creators. A lot of us have taken to parodying them with purposely outlandish stories and nonsense. Full disclosure, I once made a video with the title; Mark Hamill quits Episode IX due to wrong breakfast.

Star Wars is such a huge property that it attracts this kind of nonsense, sadly. Your best opportunity is to follow official channels or creators that you respect who deliver authentic journalism.

But I was at TLJ panel, and even got to meet Mark over SWCO weekend, he was truly enthusiastic about Episode VIII, but he did admit that he "fundamentally disagreed with everything".
