    I've thought about this lately, and I'm wondering if the majority of true fans prefer the original storm trooper helmet (original trilogy) or if they are liking the new, first order storm trooper helmet?
    Me- I MUCH prefer the original. I feel the FO helmet lacks character, and has lost the "cool factor" becoming too sleek and simple. How do you guys feel?

    I love the OT helmet, and that's where my vote goes.
    But I really like the new helmet, and it really evokes the same "feeling" the OT Stormtroopers had.
    I don't care much for the Flame Trooper and the Snowtrooper for FO, because to me those lack character. It's basically a piece of plastic placed on the helmet. So, here's hoping Ep. VIII will have better variations!

    Personally I like the classic design. Doesn't mean I don't like the new look too but the classic helmets have an odd shape that makes them a little more otherworldly.

    I just can't take the OT helmets as threatening. I love them but I voted FO because they are more sinister.

    The old ones are instantly recognizable and iconic and really evoke a feeling of nostalgia from the original trilogy. The design was amazing and it fits what 1970's and 1980's Star Wars was all about. Those stormtroopers are PERFECT where they are in episodes IV,V, and VI.

    The new ones are an still blow me away every time I see them. They could've have created a design that fit a natural progression any better, and the uniforms are exactly what the 2010's are all about. Sleek and modernistic and uniform while still retaining the forboding aura that the originals had.

    So my answer is that the old ones are perfect where they are, and the new ones are perfect where they are!

    I really like the FO helmet from most angles except head-on. It looks pretty goofy sometimes. The old Trooper helmets didn't have this problem for me. Still, I vote FO.

    But in all seriousness my favorite is actually the Phase 1 clone trooper Helmet.

    I think I prefer First Order because I simply never liked the original storm trooper helmets :| sue me, but I just felt they looked goofy.

    I like the streamlined version better. The old ones are so classic and recognizable but when you put them next to the new generation they look kind of clunky.

    Hard to beat the classic ones. The desing its cool and i have the nosralgia. But they did a great job with FO too, really like them.
    In other hand I dislike the clonetroopers designs, but I think this have a lot to do with the movies, in how bad they are.

    OT helmet any time. The new one....well, I like the flame and snow troopers. I guess the bad light throws on the new helmet the name First Order, which I dislike.

    I love the OT and the helmets are perfect for that trilogy, but there's something about the FO helmets that looks so much more dangerous.
    Sidenote: I just look at the picture of the FO troops on the transport next to the OT storm troopers and the lighting on the transport feels way too "JJ Star Trek"... And now I'm worried.
