Classic Storm Trooper helmet or FO Storm Trooper helmet?

Original Trilogy helmets look like the helmets of broken individuals, of people who have been beaten into submission and forced to be soldiers... they are skeleton faces, they are the walking dead, because their life has been destroyed.

Prequel Trilogy you have the helmets of well trained soldiers, streamlined, effective, and paying homage to a warrior heritage... they are beings with purpose and their armor reflects that.

Teh fiirst order helmets similiarly reflect purpose in their design, but they maintain the skull aesthetic... These combine aspects of both, while removing the warrior heritage seen in the clones...

The helmets of the First Order Troopers are not the helmets of people who have been beaten into submission, they are the helmets of people who have hadtheir souls carved out... and evil poured in to fill the void.

But that is just my thoughts on it all.

 

I wouldn't necessarily call it "JJ Star Trek..." It's probably just part of his style in the way he makes all of his films.

I wish there was a non-negative "heavy sigh" rating for punsand stuff like this.because although it huts, I aint actually mad.

You know the weird part is, that it does make sense in a weird way since Stormtroopers are naval soldiers of a sort, and donald is a Navy Man, indeed he is the only Disney core character that is military I think.

I've wondered about the significance of the new FO helmet designs. I'm talking not only the main stormtroopers and Phasma, but ALL TIE pilots, Flametroopers, Snowtroopers and Phasma, but also Kylo Ren's.:From the connection to myth thread here:

I love the ESB helmets but, for the sake of keeping things fresh I will say FO. The FO Tie Pilot Special and Regular are my absolute favorite.
Close 2nd is Phasma's then FO Snowtrooper's. Also let's not forget the guy that is part of Maz's "Pirates" with the black OT Helmet with "FEAR" on it. I feel like there is still FO designs we still haven't seen yet.

 

Anyway, I PERSONALLY think the FO stormtrooper looks better. It's very sleek and it actually looks like armor. The original design is a CLASSIC, but if you look closely, you can tell it's just plastic.

 

I agree. I like clone trooper helmets the best.

 

I love the classic OT look, but like the First Order ones just slightly more.
