Comics and novels you hope to see

All of those are good ideas, I'd personally love to see the Old Republic Era re-explored as well in the new canon. Based on statements in TCW and the PT we know that the Republic fell 1000 years prior to the PT, based on the fact that the Sith have been in hiding for 1000 years as well, it would be easy to conclude that the downfall of the Sith and the fall of the Old Republic were connected. It would be nice to see that story fleshed out, and they could also flesh out Darth Bane in the new canon as well seeing as he would have had to have created the Rule of Two around that same time. There are plenty of other stories prior to that which would be interesting as well. I look forward to seeing the Star Wars timeline expanded again.

Timothy Zahn to come back to write a new trilogy set between ROTJ and TFA with Luke and co. travelling across the galaxy finding new Jedis perhaps travelling to the Unknown Regions encountering the Chiss and new enemies or a trilogy set between TFA and Episode VIII (depending how long it's set after TFA) with Rey,Finn and Poe Dameron travelling to the Unknown Regions and encoutering the Chiss and new enemies and perhaps the First Order goes to the UR in between ROTJ and TFA to encouter new allies there to increase their fleet and armies. It would make some great stories and perhaps there could be some cool space battles in the UR between the First Order Fleet allied with new alien fleets vs. Rey,Poe,Finn and the Resistance Fleet or Leia and the Resistance Fleet.

Or any new novels set in the Unknown Regions with the Tarkin novel referencing the Empire spreading into the UR how about novels about the Empire spreading into the UR in the classic trilogy era with young Luke and co. venturing to the UR encoutering the Empire or any alien fleets there or encoutering the Chiss earlier now the EU is rebooted.

 

Definitely something detailing Luke's journey to his BA RotJ self. And also the inevitable backstory comics and novels that will release after TFA. I want to know more about Kylo Ren, Poe, and Finn specifically. I don't have anything against Rey, but something tells me she'll be a Jakkuan for life. I don't see her anywhere else; mostly because I can't imagine she'd be there for any reason other then being born there or being sent there to live in ignorance of her true origin.

A comic series with issues alternating between Finn's FO perspective and Poe's Resistance perspective would be neat, and Kylo Ren is just a boss with an origin begging to be uncovered unless they're saving that for Ep. 8 or 9.

 

More Big Three novels with Luke,Han and Leia set between ROTJ and TFA and set in the new canon leading up to Luke being in exile and the Big Three's adventures with the Rebels now becoming the Resistance taking on the Empire now known as the First Order. I know there's the Aftermath trilogy by Chuck Wendig from Del Rey but that will be about other characters. I'm talking about new epic hardcover novels with everyone's favorite three heroes Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Princess Leia in new canon novels against the Empire now the First Order set-Post ROTJ/Pre TFA. Maybe we'll see the first adventures of the Big 3 and the resistance against the First Order in the Shaterred Empire comic series but I would love to read more epic hardcover novels with my favorite heroes Luke,Han and Leia from Del Rey in rebooted adventures against Thrawn,the Chiss and the First Order. Maybe Tim Zahn could do a reboot Thrawn trilogy where the First Order teams up with Thrawn and the Chiss in the Unknown Regions and goes up Luke,Leia and the Resistance in some cool deep space battles in the UR/Wild Space or even the Outer Rim. Troy Denning could do a trilogy with the Big 3 between ROTJ and TFA. And I hear Christie Golden wants to do a Luke Skywalker likely post-ROTJ too and with searching the galaxy for New Jedi recruits while battling the Jedi Hunters as it has been rumored he will do in TFA in the past year.
