SPECULATION Crystals in TLJ trailer.

    Ok, we have all been wondering what these crystals are:

    A lot of folks have been speculating that these are kyber crystals. BUT! If these were kyber, shouldn’t shooting at them cause a chain reaction that blows up the entire planet? My theory is that they are just ordinary, valuable crystals. Or... they could be dying, rotting kyber crystals that are suffering from sort of sickness and their power is being drained. The latter part I thought about after seeing gaint sparks erupting from the crystals as the TIEs were shooting at them. If they are kyber, then they don’t have much power left.

    Any thoughts? Questions?

    Or this cave on Crait, like its surface, is covered in salt and is also porbably rich in other minerals, which aren't neccessarily Kyberite. Besides, even on planets like Ilum or Jedha, which are known for their abundance of Kyberite, Kyber crystals aren't that common.
