Not sure about anyone else but I think this is the best, funniest post ever! Even if JJ didn't do this on purpose, I think the guys at RedLetterMedia should have a cameo just for their production level on the Star Wars reviews!

Holy $hit this is what I call a hate speech. (calling it a rant would be to harmless)

Nothing wrong with the "Shatnarian School of Acting". (I enjoy it, it's funny entertainment for me)
By the way I take the series serious. (this was a weird sentence - "oh my" insert George Takei's voice here)
It was a different time back then and as strange as it sounds, it suited the series. (he was not the only one who overacted in TOS)
I think the actors did a good job with the material they got.

IMHO (and this is only my opinion/interpretation), Mr Plinkett is a creation of utter genius. The 'man' (character) lambastes movies for being dumb whilst simultaneously embodying the worst, most vile and violent aspects of 'real' life. Of course movies are going to seem dumb if you're up to your flabby armpits in violence and depravity--movies are a form of escapist entertainment designed to draw people away from those sorts of unsavoury, sordid horrors!!

Also, Plinkett is the perfect antithesis to Nostalgic Critic's enthusiasm and rose-tinted idealism -- and again only my opinion, but NC (Doug Walker) has that angle down tight. That Red Letter were able to find a fresh angle at all is commendable and Plinkett is entertaining, if a little uncomfortable viewing at times.

But I am prone to over-thinking and fan-boy bs....

In Plinkett's reviews of the PT, he refers to Nemoidians (the Trade Federation dudes) as Shatnerians. The joke is only a Star Trek reference insomuch as "Nemoidians" is pronounced like "Nimoy" (the last name of the actor who played Mr. Spock) + "dians", and so he incorrectly - but hilariously - calls them "Shatner" (the last name of the actor who played Captain Kirk) + "ians". In the review, Nemoidians (Nimoy-dians) become Shatnerians (Shatner-ians).

It's funnier when you don't have to explain it.

They also speak in the Shatnerian acting style.

I think he's pretty funny, and I also have watched his PT reviews more than the PT. He nails GL in TPM review Part 7.

I thought that the first time I watched them but you have to remember that he's being that way purely for entertainment value. I don't agree with everything he says and I actually enjoy the prequels but I find his videos at least amusing and funny once you watch them through.

Also important to note that Plinkett is a fictional character. He's a psycho and that's why he's such a jerk. Part of it is making fun of people who sit in their basements and critique films all day and act like they all suck.
