Do you like the first Solo (teaser) trailer?

If the infamous dice turn out to be the ones that Han wins the Falcon with, then the trailer shows possibly the first substantial plot hole.... why would Lando, in his right mind, risk losing his ship in a game where his competitor provides the dice?!?

 

Not yet.
I am consciously choosing to not have an opinion about it until I see the movie for myself. Trailers are so misleading. Rogue One looked much better in trailers, for example.

I get more excited about this movie all the time. I want it to have the same effect on me as R1: blow me away and then take me wherever it wants.

 

Personally, I loved the first teaser! It surprised me a lot, as this was really our first look into what the movie will be and look like.

My favourite quote from the trailer is of course from Han Solo himself :
‘Thought we were in trouble there for a second, but it's fine, we’re fine’

Alden really captured Han's personality in my opinion, and that line was really to the naysayers and doubters including myself! Nonetheless, let's hope Solo flies safely till the end like how the Millennium Falcon is avoiding those huge tentacles!!

 

I wasn't expecting to like it as much as I did.

But the first teaser trailer rocked. Solid debut.

 

I was pleasantly surprised and loved the almost distorted guitar version of the Star Wars theme. Visuals look great and it looks like a lot of fun. Rogue One put the war back in Star Wars But this film I think will bring some fun back.

I do feel for the man lead (name escapes me I know starts with A) he will never fill Harrison’s Shoes. I foresee Lando stealing the show

And now most trailer music is outsourced to companies like Two Steps from Hell (yes that is really it’s name) and position music where they make their own exclusive mixes. So it won’t be on OST

 

I mean i really liked the trailers, and it defiantly lifted my excitement level, but i wouldn't say i'm at the really excited stage yet, this isnt a film I ever wanted and with all the mess happening during the production a couple of good trailers doesn't make me forget that.

But I really like the trailers, maybe they are a tiny bit generic, and it didn't completely sell me on Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo, but i can feel my excitement growing for the film now which i didn't think would happen, so the trailers defiantly got something right.

 

If this Solo movie had been made a decade ago, they could have used the kid from Home Improvement:



Now this kid is older than Harrison Ford was when filming A New Hope, if you can believe it.

 

He has to shoot first!!!!

 

Personally I think they made a wrong choice for the actor playing Han but I mean visually it looks great. I think it's a great idea for a film and I'm really excited to see it when it comes out!

 

Only got to see the trailer recently, work has been killer the past few weeks.

Unfortunately this won't be a midnight screening for me. The trailer just didn't hit me right. Still interested enough to see it on the opening weekend but i'm starting to think after IX, i might just save my hype for the next episodic movies (X XI XII if they get made). RO fell flat for me and Solo just makes me think "eh".

Maybe kenobi or Old Republic might get me into the stand alone series but right now any enthusiasm for the standalone wasn't increased with the Solo teaser.

 

I liked it surprisingly much. It looks like a fun and entertaining movie and I don't mind the lack of gravitas at all. TLJ had more than enough of that (maybe even too much). I think the SOLO movie will be a great addition in terms of world building and exactly what I need after Rian Johnson take on Star Wars. The only thing the trailer was missing were familiar faces like Jabba, Greedo and Cad Bane. I don't know if I need more than one young Solo movie and it seems as if they are deliberately holding back them back for a sequel.

 

I love the trailer, it gave me Star Wars fever all over again. A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one. I needed that after TLJ fandom fight.

 

Nope, the trailer did not get me excited to see this movie.

 

I think this movie about Han Solo will be very COOL.We know in ANH how was Luke Skywalker younger days.NOW...we are going to see young Han Solo.This is NICE BUT what REALLY REALLY i want to see a Leia young day movie.This will be so wonderful and Disney can honor Carrie Fisher in a GREAT way.I think that fans with love this.

 

Watched the trailer once, and that was enough. I won't over analyze the trailer, because that just leads to ideas on what I think the movie will be like. Instead, I will wait patiently for the movie with an open mind. Cheers!

Milk Skywalker ... lol !!!!

 

LOVED both the short teaser (final scene with Chewie putting arm around Han is AWESOME) and the longer trailer (final scene, Alden NAILS a young Han Solo!!)

Everyone needs to remember Alden is playing a younger Han Solo, NOT a younger Harrison Ford!!!!!
