Honestly, I don't think they've really used her as such so far. They've had multiple encounters with the Inquisitors so far and she's only shown up once.

At the same time though, what's the point of having a character like Ahsoka if she never does anything. At this point she's been off following leads on Vader, but obviously they wont have that excuse after this season. If she does survive the season they need to figure out how to use her without interrupting the flow of their narrative. Not saying that it can't be done, but regardless that is a concern for the creators. I can see them successfully keeping her on the show til the end, or making this her final appearance. I'm fine with either option as long as it makes sense for the story being told.

It would be a mistake to kill her so soon.

Ahsoka is a fan favorite. She's an atypical case where a recurring character becomes more interesting and likable than any of the leading characters.

My bet is that the Ahsoka vs Vader duel we see by the end of Season 2 won't be their last one. Another thing I would expect in these duels is for Vader to receive additional injuries that will prevent him to jump or move quickly. In his duel with Ezra/Kannan at the beginning of season 2, Vader moved very fast. But when he faces Kenobi for the second time in Episode IV, that duel looks like a pillow fight compared to the intense fight they had in Episode 3. So, Rebel has a unique opportunity to fix this continuity. Age shouldn't be a factor, as we have seen Dooku, Yoda and Palpatine kicked ass. So, perhaps we may even see Kenobi fighting one more time at the end Rebels, destroying an inquisitor that is looking for a force-sensitive teenager in Tattoine, but receiving additional wounds that would prevent him to fight again like the ol' days. I can imagine Owen witnessing the fight and telling Kenobi at the end to stay away from them without understanding the scene.

I wish Ahsoka goes out in a blaze of glory, like Mace Windu did, as the only Jedi who beat Palpatine in sword fight. I wish she makes her last stand in Rogue One. Or at the end of Rebels she saves Leia from an Inquisitor that is looking for another force-sensitive teenage girl in Tattoine. Ahsoka destroys the inquisitor but is mortally wounded, without dying on screen. It could be a nice parallel with Kenobi's theory above.

It's true that this show is aimed to a younger audience. So, it's hard to imagine dramatic endings for our the most lovable characters on TV screen.

Let me rephrase, because I agree she hasn't been a crutch so far, as she only appeared once to save the day. I think she needs to be removed as a potential crutch for future encounters. With her around, there is always a chance she'll pull a gandalf and save the day out of nowhere.

The point of having her in the show....is that she is Filoni's creation and he wants to give her more closure after the premature cancellation of the clone wars. I think she is a great character too, but I want to see Rebels focus on the new 5 rather than getting too tied in with clone wars characters.

She is such a good and successful character that it would be nonsense to have her die in the second season of Rebels.
I think the nickname Fulcrum means a lor, at least for Dave Filoni. She is a fulcrum connecting "Lucas era" and "Disney era", Anakin and Vader and so on.
Moreover she already died in TCW, at the age of 15, and then resurrected thanks to the daughter of the force. That opens a lot of possibilities: could she live much more than humans for that reason and still be young at 70, maybe in Episode IX ?
I see many, many ways to let her get out of the scene before A New Hope without killing her. She may sense the future and see Luke and Vader killing Palpatine, so she would decide to let things go that way and leave the rebellion just before the battle of Yavin.

Agreed I do believe she has more to offer the series more than just be a character Vader must vanquish from his past once for all.

I want to see her in rogue 1. I would like to see her and vader fight it out in what is said to be a dark battle for vader. and to add the lightsaber master vs. apprentice to the movie would make it more watchable. plus ahsoka isnt a main character in rebels, she shows up here and there so the fight with vader in rebels would be a glimpse to what i think should be their final fight in R1, if they say vader has a darker fight scene. I love Ahsoka.

May the force be with you always...
