SPECULATION Episode 7 Main Antagonist Portrayal

I think it will be a twist reveal at the end of the film (which, if you come to think about it, is related to being surrounded by mystery). A hidden character coming out of the shadows, or a supposed "good guy" or minor role which ends up being essential for the rest of the trilogy. Anyway, I do think for sure that the main baddie will not be in the spotlight (at least I hope so).

 

I voted mystery. I do not think it will be a "twist" like Luke or Han is the villain but I do think they are keeping the villain's identity and actor/actress hidden.

i went spotlight. i'm not 100% as to why i chose it but i'll try and explain lol

there were rumours of the main villain being the nastiest eviliest (yes thats a word! ) thing ever. would this be a concealed bad guy? or would it be an all-conquering in your face, nothing can touch me villain?

my gut tells me that he/she will be in our face from the start and will be seemingly un-beatable. just a hunch though and i'll probably think differently tomorrow lol

 

I don't think tthe villainwill show at the beginning of the movie and I don't think it will it will be a twist it will be Ok here's the villain but they will wait a bit to show him. Maybe they show him (her) in the shadows and when he faces off with the hero of the movie.....boom this is the bad guy

 

i voted for twist reveal, but now you've got me thinking maybe you're right... or, maybe both! big baddie that's obviously kicking ass, then a secret agent to stab someone in the back? sorta adds a personal twist to things...

 

I vote twist not because I expect say Luke to be the villain. But the point of the reveal will be a climactic and memorable moment. Either Driver or Christie will appear to be the big bad until boom! They are at best the dragon for THIS GUY. I like the idea of more then just two factions fighting in these new films though. My ideal world for the crazy mind I have wants a Republic/Empire/Sith conflict, but with alliances (most likely against the Sith) but lots of political intrigue and minor factions in our big factions, like a Leia vs Lyongo faction in the Republic

 

I voted twist. I've thought for a while our new "emperor" will be Leia using others for her dirty work and pseudo revealed at the end of VII. Anakin Skywalkers twins, one the embodiment of light (Luke) and one now the embodiment of dark, at odds with the fate of the galaxy in the balance.

 

THIS is exactly what I was trying to convey, but Bluestreaking said it with the best possible words.
That is why I said the twist will be surrounded by mystery. I do NOT think one of the big 3 ends up as THE bad guy at the end, but rather one of the newbies, or someone behind the curtains.

The main Episode VII antagonist is Darth Plageuis
