    Mine is Obi Wan by far.Great character,great actor.I'm hoping some how they can get him in one of the new films.Ewan McGregor was just awesome.

    Probably Obi-Wan as well. I always found that he was an interesting character... really devoted to the Jedi cause and ideals, and very able to keep a clear head despite all that happened.

    His "toeing of the party line" in a sense was a nice counterbalance to Anakin's overabundance of passion and constant breaking from protocol, and created an interesting dynamic. Yet at the same time, he still was able to invest himself more into lives and events if it was beneficial to the overall cause or mission, and keep himself from being as distant and aloof to the galactic happenings as the rest of the council seemed to be.

    When I saw this scene, there was no doubt in my mind that General Grievous was the coolest character I'd ever seen. He appeared as a truly intimidating and physical threat to the Jedi.
    Of course, the 2003 animated series is no longer considered canon. RotS and the new Clone Wars cartoon, at least from what I've seen, severely weakened his presence as a scary villain. And I hate that :(
    So I'd have to go with Ewan McGregor's Obi-Wan, who was one of the better actors/characters of the trilogy.

    Honestly, for me, it's Watto. I just love this guy; an over-the-top shyster and hustler. He's the only character from the PT whose lines I will actually quote outside of the topics of politics and religion.

    Darth Maul.

    I don't like using the word "awesome" because it's lost it's original meaning and now just means something cool. Trust me, your new fridge magnet is NOT awesome. But Darth Maul was awesome, in the literal sense of the word.

    Watching him filled me with awe.

    I was in awe when he leapt from his speeder bike and attacked in mid-air.

    I was struck with awe watching him pace like a tiger while Qui Gonn meditated on the other side of the barrier, with hunger in his eyes.

    My jaw dropped in awe when he ignited the second lightsaber blade on his weapon.

    I was in awe (still am, actually) every time I watch his fight against Obi Wan and Qui Gonn. The masterful footwork, the blinding-fast swordplay, the way he grins like a psycho during the fight while Duel of the Fates plays.

    That Force throw he does to fling that object into the control panel to open the door behind him? Yeah, that was awesome.

    Maul was just great. Casting an actual martial artist and stuntman to play the part was brilliant. Ray Park did a fantastic job. The facial expressions added so much to the character! He looked hungry for Jedi blood. The desire to kill just oozed from his body language and facial expressions. I think Ray Park deserves recognition as a great supporting actor in an otherwise mostly forgettable cast.

    Episode VII has a few parkour practitioners and martial artists on the cast, and I fervently hope we see some performances as good as Ray Park's Darth Maul.

    Mine was Sidious because of the way he manipulated his way to the top as emperor of the galaxy eliminating his enemies at every turn, no one chose to act for fear of a war but he brought anyway.

    absolutely. i think this character was impressive, but if you like this actor i can tell you taylor lautner is even better in terms of fighting and weapons capabilities. in fact its one of the reasons he became an actor.

    Has to be Qui-Gon Jinn for me. He was always indirectly disobeying and arguing with the Jedi Council. He has always been rumored to be a Gray Jedi that used their own means to an end to resolve a conflict, but never straying too far to the dark side...just skirting the Jedi SOP to achieve the same goal.

    Oh,the acting in all 4 films was superb by this man. He's number 2 on my list,followed by Qui-Gon. :) I also liked the Cook,Dex,from Ep II.I thought he was cool.lol

    Obiwan. McGregor had the daunting test of essentially impersonating a younger Alec Guinness and pretty much nailed it. Plus Obiwan was one of the few likeable characters in the PT, and was someone you could root for.

    My favorite character has to be Obi Wan followed closely by Jar Jar... just kidding. Followed closely by Mace Windu.

    It's a tie for me (both character and actor) Obi Wan and Palpatine/Sidious. Ewan and Ian delivered great performances in my opinion. I especially loved Ian in ROTS!
