    Gotta go with Darth Maul.

I was legitimately concerned anytime someone had to face him in PM.

Loved Qui-Gon's character, but knew he was toast up against that tattooed Sith gymnast.

I would have to say Qui-Gon as well. As others have noted, there were several cool characters, but Qui-Gon was the one I wanted to be. (qui-gon)

This one is actually pretty hard. Despite it's reputation, the PT had some pretty cool characters. There are maybe too many characters, keeping them from all being fleshed out, correctly.

For hero, I tie Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon. They were both more Jedi than politician.

For Villian, I gotta go Dooku, as he walked that line of Jedi/Sith. He was so truthful in most of what he said, but was deemed a liar by the council, who was too clouded by the Dark Side.

Dooku was wise but he should have not turned on Yoda.

Yep the duel went Maul's way when Qui-Gon was split from Obi Wan, it was only through reckless confidence that he lost, he should have been allowed to come back in RTOTS as least.

I'm torn between Maul and Grievous. Maul gave us the first facial expressions to all out Sith combat. He was menacing and calm all at the same time. Someone mentioned him pacing like a tiger behind the shield while waiting to continue the fight. Grievous was comical and threatening at the same time. He possessed no force abilities, but gave a few Jedi a run for their money. The special effects that made him up seemed realistic. A friend of mine would talk like Grievous for the longest time and crack me right up.

I find it really hard. I really liked several PT characters. Qui-Gon was awesome. Obi-Wan was consistently great. I love Yoda and I loved Yoda with a light sabre.

Qui Gon. Too bad there was like no character development for him. I hope they will do a movie with him

Obi Wan definitely, he was the only character who had a personality.

Without a doubt Darth Sidious. Incredible character. The way he manipulated everyone around him for his own personal gain and pulled everyones strings for his politcal gain was brilliant. The Star Wars Universe would have been a different place altogether without good old Sidious. (emperor)(pwned)

Obi-Wan. And this brave padawan from ROTS! For some reason I always remembered this scene and wondered who the heck was it. I know he didn't last long, but he was way out numbered;)

It's a toss-up between four characters for me. Qui-Gon Jinn conveyed this incredible aura of authority about him. I'm not sure if that was character or actor (or a mixture of both), but I really liked him. I equally loved seeing Yoda in a more active role, Darth Maul's awe-inspiring looks and fighting prowess, and Obi-Wan's portrait.

I like many PT characters but my favorite is Yoda, he is just great and he's fighting style is just perfect :)
I would love to see spin-off film about Yoda, it shouldn't reveal all of his secrets but he was about 900 year old when he die, so there can be one film about him without ruining his mysterious role. :)

Obi-Wan all the way. Followed closely by Palpatine, Maul and Grievous.

I figured I was the only one to really like that guy. I think he is the only interesting and original character created for the prequels.

    Hard to decide between these:

    Watto - Excellent CGI, design, voice and humor;

Maul - Visual impressive. Unfortunately he's gone to soon.

    Obi-Wan - McGregor made a good job.
