Thanks for the comments on the firing rocket, appreciated :) I still think it looks silly though as Jango purposefully bends forward to fire. If it was heatseeking it should have launched while he was upright. Could make for more interesting imagery, too. And in JEDI, we still only see the rocket used to carry the wearer.

First off, my favorite scene in the PT is from ATOC. When Obi-Wan takes the poison dart to Dex in his Diner. Its so refreshingly simple. The art direction is good, the cgi on Dex is good. Its grubby, its fun, they really look like friends. None of the dialogue falls flat.
It also shows that Obi-Wan is inhereting some of Qui-Gon's "down to earth" Jediing, rather than just chilling in a literal ivory tower. I wish more of that Private Eye sluethy feeling came through in ATOC.

    Regarding the Jetpack/Rocket Launcher debate:
Say I'm George Lucas and its 1978. I see that concept art from Joe Johnston, and I say, cool picture Joe, but I think I'm gonna make that a Jetpack instead of a Rocket Launcher because that makes way more sense. Joe Johnston directed Captain America 1. woof. just saying.

I have alot of my favorites.

But I would chose Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon Jinn vs. Darth Maul scene.

The first time anyone saw Yoda, he specifically told Luke his stance on combat.
    "Wars not make one great."
I can get over a lot of things that the prequels did wrong, and I even really enjoyed seeing the yoda fight scenes in theaters... because I was 7 and didn't realize that it totally contradicted Yoda's character. Yoda spends the entirety of Luke's training on Dagobah teaching him to be passive. When Luke goes to be tested in the cave, Yoda tells him he will not need his weapons, he even tells Luke that a jedi uses the force for defense only, never for attack. I can forgive George for a lot of things, but I don't think I'll ever forgive him for completely negating Yoda's character development in the OT when it came time to feature him in the PT.

You nailed it. Even in Ep. I Yoda's words were hollow. All the impish humor and charm was gone! At least they used the puppet in the original version of the film before even that got erased by CG.

"Darth Plagueis was a Dark Lord of the Sith so powerful and so wise, he could use the Force to influence the midi-chlorians to create life. He had such a knowledge of the dark side, he could even keep the ones he cared about from dying." darth plagueis.jpg BEST SCENE BY FAR! I think that Ian Mcdiarmid is the second best actor in the PT. Ewan makes a even greater performance. Both actors reach their peak in Revenge of the Sith. It`s my favorite PT movie!

The puppet in TPM its very different thatn the ones we see in TESB and ROTJ. Hard to tell wich Yoda its worst, if the puppet from TPM or the CGI from AOTC and ROTS.

The "real" Yoda for me are the ones from the CT.

Yoda is a Jedi knight. All Jedi knights must use lightsaber, their weapon. That is the whole point of been a knight. That is really only logical thing. As Obi-Wan said to Luke, ''lightsaber is a weapon of Jedi Knights''.
    So I disagree with you.

Yes Yoda was more passive in OT. But he is older in OT. And he was at least 20 years alone on that planet researching force. So In fact we see the development of a character. From warrior Yoda in PT to more spiritual Yoda in OT.

Also that is explored in Clone Wars, in Yoda arc.

In my opinion CGI Yoda from PT movies is the best yoda. It has more natural movements and facial expressions. Puppet Yoda is obviously a puppet, even on screen.
It is very stiff, and movements are very limited.

I really glad that they replaced Yoda from TMP with CGI. I really do not care that much for the puppets.

We do not know how Yoda specie age. Last 20 years in the life of his species they maybe age very rapidly.
Also yes 20 years is a really long time for someone to be alone. That change person. And as we know from ROTS and Clone Wars series. Yoda
researched in depth force in that time when he was alone.
But Yoda is a Jedi Knight, and lightsaber is a weapon of Jedi Knights. Knights by definition are warriors who use the sword.

So it was always known that Yoda used the lightsaber before Jedi purge.

Really?! I like something you dont, so that means that I'am a bad person?! Worst person ?!
    Very mature of you.

I don't think Yoda is ever reffered to as a "Knight". But rather, "Master". I think he was originally intended as a Guru type character, not a fighter.
But that being said...I don't really mind the fighting Yoda...that much. He just loses a little mystery when we see the limits of what he can do. But I think the Sideous/Yoda fight should've been more of a force battle or a mind battle. Not a sword fight. (I don't really like Sideous having a lightsaber either)

I find it poetic that Yoda, who is more of a mystic, draws his lightsaber at the very dawn of an enormous galaxy-wide conflict, and puts it down when that war has destroyed everything he stood for.
