It looks very practical. It's not an exciting design, but it's perfectly at home in the Star Wars universe.

No matter what the vehicle is, people will either complain that it's too similar to other vehicles (too safe) or that it doesn't seem very Star Warsy.

I'm just happy they made a concerted effort to keep the overall feel of the vehicles familiar without just reusing the same exact ships from the OT. Some, I'm sure, I will like more than others.

I'll say this, the Snowtroopers inside it look really cool.

Eh, you can't please everyone I guess. I won't argue with anyone who doesn't like the design.

At this point it's probably hard to think up crafts that look futuristic but still have that gritty, militaristic Star Wars feel.

In this case I think they went a little too plain and boxy, but I wouldn't call it a bad design by any means. It fits.

Like so many others have said, I need to see it in action to really get a fix on it. But when I think 'snow vehicle' I don't think snub-nosed; I think pointed snow plough, so that's a stickler for me. The first snow bank it hits its gonna come a cropper, lol!

Unless that front grill spits fire?

Put it this way, it won't make my Xmas list this year....

It could be very cool, like a tactical used by combatants all over the third world to great effect, or even cooler still...

I agree with this to an extent. However, there were many vehicle designs envisioned by Nazi engineers that were pretty radical during WWII.

Maybe TFA is aiming for more of a WWI style and the best is yet to come (ep. VIII and IX) ?

When it comes to the design of this vehicle, I like it. I believe It suits the first order quite snug, as it is simple, elementary, geometrically even, and very Empire 'esk. I simply just don't like the name. I think a name like, "First Order Turret Speeder" would be a more appropriate fit since it's original name gives us a tendancy to think of the rebel's flying snowspeeder. We can all agree on that.

    ^^^^^^^^
I was just imagining what an amazing swamp vehicle this would be as a utilized concept on planets like Dagobah! Anyone else see the great possibilities??
    (yoda)(yoda 2)

That first Nazi spiraling craft concept is absolutely RIDICULOUS, but it is visually stunning! Can you imagine what a craft in the Star Wars universe would be born if this was the vehicle concept reference?? That would make for some insane battling flight sequences! Maybe the Star Wars version could have the cockpit as a gyroscope so the pilot doesn't spin with the rest of the ship. A new spiraling starfighter for the First Order. That would be amazing. (star destroyer)(x-wing 2)(fighter)(crossguard)
