I think that is what needs to be used well right now. Meaning, eventually, we need to see his life before, as a proud and amazing warrior, who was stated to have willingly given up his body to continue fighting and be able to face Jedi. But he becomes weak and cheap because he, like almost everyone in the Clone Wars, is deceived and tricked by Palpatine.

To tell you the truth I would rather not see his backstory. Not that I don't love Grievous, but it has become a real bummer for me to be able to see what an awesome character someone was in the past just to see him become a dorky lacky in the future or die in a stupid way. I think that really hurts characters more than it helps them. Imagine if we got Boba Fett in the new sequel movies. He could be made into a real awesome character and fans could finally see him as the great bounty hunter he's supposed to be but if they make a prequel about him and make him this ultimate badass, he's really going to look incredibly lame dying like a dork in ROTJ. Why would we want to see movies in wich we found out that Porkins was an ultimate rebel spy that was actually Force sensitive or that Greedo was an ex Sith Lord if we are only going to see them die the way they did in the OT? I prefer to see new stories of characters who have futures ahead of them instead of guys that already kicked the bucket. Guys like Zuckuss, 4-LOM, Zuvio and Sarco Plank (if they don't bite it in TFA) would be great characters to know more about but dead guys like Plo Koon and Kit Fisto, even though they were cool, should just stay dead cause making movies about them being these super powerful Jedi's in the past is just going to be a bummer when we see them bite the dust in ROTS.

Check out Sarco in the junior novel, Weapon of a Jedi, he's pretty cool.

To be fair, we did get to learn a tad about Kit Fisto and Plo Koon and all in TCW .

Who knows, maybe we will learn more about his past in some future spin-off movies.

I really like Grevious as a character but with him not being a force user I have always wondered how come the jedi cant just force grab/push/throw him about and beat him quite easily? Does anyone know the answer to this?

Extremely uninterested in a story like this, far more interesting characters to explore.

Grievous is actually one of my favourite SW villains and its too bad we don't get to explore much of his story in both versions of the clone wars. I mean "Lair of Grievous" kind of hints of what he used to be but that's pretty much it.

I feel like Wookiepedia is out to date, several months ago I read the entire history of Plo Koon on there even before the clone wars and before he got his seat on the Jedi council.

I was hoping to read about Grievous's life before he was a cyborg, but there doesn't seem to be anything on here of his life as a Kaleesh mostly. :(

That episode was pretty epic. Lot's of good character development for him.

I read somewhere that he originally tried to become a Jedi but something didn't go as planned. Anyone wanna elaborate on that?

That and oh god I love the episode "Massacre" that was Grievous being a badass right there. My favourite part of season 4.

I love it when he laughs, I don't know why, but I do.
