Definitely will check it out. I remember the 60 minutes news piece on TPM had some really good stuff so I hope this will be similar. On the downside they might just end up going over stuff that is old to us but "new" to the public.

But what would that be? They posted teaser pictures along with the tweet/post so I don't expect teaser stuff.

A picture I came across the other day; it has some alleged plot details.

One thing that's "off" about this is that we have visual confirmation that the desert planet isn't Tatooine - and it would seem odd to me that the movie spends over an hour on the planet (unless it is intercut with stuff happening in space and on other planets). The stuff about Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, and John Boyega seems to be right, though.

A press kit? So if this is legit, it should be announced on GMA tomorrow. There's no other media outlet they would send a press kit to at this point.

I wouldn't count out Tatooine. The only "visual" we have is a lack of a second sun. I believe that sun could be just off camera.

There's about 20 different plot synopsis on those disgusting chan sites. People should not rush to believe this. Press kit, really. There was some other guy saying his buddy or relative has read the novelization lol.

So my speculation earlier about the saber appears to be correct if this is real.

I wouldn't really count on it; take a look at the Twin Suns in proximity to one another in A New Hope:

Compare that to their distance from each other in Revenge Of The Sith:

If the positions of the stars were important to the brightness of the day, the shot with the Millennium Falcon would have been dimmer.

Here, it's as bright as day with only one star in what appears to be the same position as either of the Twin Suns.

The point of a press kit is for the all the news media and entertainment media to run it. You won't only hear about it on a message board occupied by lunatics.

I know, I was just raising the point of why that planet isn't Tatooine using visual evidence. I only brought that image up because I thought it was worth discussing.

Tatooine or not, is it really worth a long debate when there are so many more unanswered details about the film?

Well, my only thing is, why create another desert planet when we already have one? Unless this is just a desert region of a planet

I call fake, that's too much information to be revealed in one press kit. And besides, what's the point of revealing first 70 minutes is on Tatooine?

Because it's a big Galaxy - you are bound to run into planets with the same kinds of biospheres after a while.

Also, they probably did that so the Galaxy wouldn't feel like a "small world" where everything happens on the planet farthest from the bright center of the Universe. Seriously, five out of the six movies feature the planet. Sure, the movie could visit that particular dust ball again, but that would kind of undermine the point of nothing of interest happening there.

From that perspective yes I agree, but I feel like this may be the only planet in the movie we've seen before, the other locations may be entirely new which I believe would satisfy everybody.

On the off-chance that it's real, it's probably some insider information that he specifically knew about. Again, I found that part pretty fishy, and it's why I don't really trust the whole "leak". I still think this sounds more plausible than the "Luke Blobwalker" one, for whatever it's worth.

    Several things:
There was no mention of jawas from extras present at the Anu shooting or from the concept art.
Second, the droid's schematic had leaked comletely, and no where does it mention that the head can hide in the body.
And last, if you remove the press kit part, it reads pretty much like everyother fake rumors from 4chan.

And since when is Oscar playing a villian, lol?

    My new pet theory:

That rumored scene between Luke and Han over Driver's character is part of the "flow-walk" flashback scenes.

I could never understand how that rumored conflict could be the climax, when clearly the battle on the snow forest is the climax (based on the burning Millennium Falcon in the spy reports and concept art). It also doesn't make sense given that Driver is probably the one behind that Revan mask and hunting Boyega (and so clearly announced as the bad guy early on).

I think the scene of Han and Luke arguing over Driver is part of the exposition in the middle of the film which explains why the Skywalker family is so dysfunctional. Han doesn't kill Luke, and Luke doesn't kill Han. Instead, one of them dies in the climax on the snow forest planet (probably Han).

The scene of Han and Luke arguing over Driver, then, is something Luke shows Ridley and/or Boyega to explain how Driver fell. Kind of like the scene where Obi-Wan explains Luke's parentage to him. Except this time through flashback. But maybe again with lying involved. ;-)

I think Daisy's hopelessness (in the concept art) comes from these flashback visions, where she realizes just how troubled her family legacy is...hence why she leans on Boyega and/or Isaac for support in confronting Driver.

    Aka:

"But I can't kill my own brother..."

    "Then Driver has already won..."

Anyway, just my thoughts on this Sunday evening.

In that pic of the TIEs and Falcon, to me it looks like there is some greenery on the surface but it could be due to the lighting.

I also think they shouldn't overuse Tatooine, but that planet is indeed important. Anakin and Luke grew up there, and boths destinies were kind of trigged by events among the sand dunes and rocks. So Tatooine may be the launch for our new hero as well. But I'd lenjoy something more original! :)
