Yeah I guess we need to think beyond all the supposed leaks and try to piece it together from another method

 

This busy Hollywood actor has no idea what we think we know about the film. It's hard enough for US to keep track of all the rumors.

 

We have to take what little facts that we have and decode

 

Could it be that the original rumors of Luke being the villain my be the right track? I just don't know if I could handle Luke being the villain of this trilogy..

 

You never know. He could have seen the exact plot typed out to a T and said that! Or he could really see a bunch of awful theories and be telling the truth. It could even be that he has seen some truths figured out and yet it was stretched into the wrong story.

 

I don't want Luke to be a villain, but I don't dislike the idea of him not being exactly a hero. The Batman/Zorro/Dark Knight theory that has been widely discussed at The Cantina seems a good twist to me

 

I was thinking this very thing just the other day. Thank you for putting it so eloquently.

There have been so few actual, widespread leaks... (not counting these quasi insider blogs like MSW), where do you start?

What we can deduce right away from seeing all this retrospective McQuarrie designs, going visually to match the original trilogy as most as possible,
having Darth Vader doppelganger as a villain, we will for sure get a huge fanservice with the story as well. They are staying on thin ice, it is not made by Lucas and they know how much of an assholes can a SW fans be (like all the fanatics). They make the first episode shitty and they can flush the rest with it right down the closet.
So I expect them playing it safe with the original characters. Luke can be missing, but I don't believe him to be a villain.
Maybe that falling moon will crush Han Solo, but nobody will be out of character in my opinion.

 

I really enjoy the speculation about the missing last Jedi Knight Skywalker. But it must have a very good reason.

 

Or perhaps those are the rumors that he's talking about. Luke being cyborg/bad guy, his hand floating in space, etc.

 

We go through that thought process once a month "let's completely start over guys" and we build the same things all over again.

Gotta remember that speculation looks a lot different outside of our little community. Most people I talk to keep reiterating stuff we know isn't true "Evil Luke," "Solo twins," even the occasional Thrawn. So the only rumors Isaac has heard concerns stuff such as Evil Luke and maybe Driver being a Solo (that's me being spiteful you can ignore the second part). A lot of our rumors are off of smoke, but the saying goes if there is smoke there is fire

 

I would not be surprised at all if there was Chiss Imperial officer named Thrawn.

 

That would make me too happy to actually happen

 

An imperial officer named Thrawn would be an Easter Egg.

I want MVS dressed in full Ming the Merciless kit as the head of the Thrawn Imperial dynasty. The surviving members of Queen can be his musical entourage in the Imperial Throne room doing a heavy metal version of the Imperial March.

Checked MSW and didn't see the story so unsure if Mike the Film Guy is reputable or not.

That would be instant awesome right there! I don't remember seeing anything other than a visit to the set, but this after Daniel Radcliffe visit/possible part could be in the movie as well O.o. The Force Awakens is shaping up to be awesome. I hope they get a few seconds each tho, but nothing more than a minor part in a typical fight, that would take away from the true heroes.
