    The treaty between the First Order and the New Republic (that the First Order stays in the Outer Rim) seems plausible, because in one of the recent novels Mon Mothma, who is leading the Senate, wants to lessen the war effort.

    It would also explain the difference between the New Republic and the Resistance. Some people in the New Republic (apparently including Princess Leia) believe the First Order is a threat and they will attack eventually. These people therefore set up the Resistance in the Outer Rim planets (or support local resistance fighters with weapons and intelligence).

    The state of the GFFA seems similar to the state of Europe after WW1, in which several countries (United Kingdom, France) wanted to avoid another costly war and signed a treaty with Nazi Germany (Munich Agreement, 1938), which allowed Nazi Germany to annex parts of Czechoslovakia.

    However, I am less thrilled with the idea of another corrupt senate. That story line has been done before in the PT, which in itself is a good enough reason not to do it again.

    I read the article about Lucasfilm is planing to continue the filming at Skellig Michael in 2016.
    It looks to me that Skellig Michael is the new Dagobah and Rey or someone else is visting Luke from time to time, to get advice or training.
    I have the weird feeling that Luke will not leave this place in the sequel trilogy and only collaborate with his visitor(s).

    I'm baaaaaack kids.

    Anywho, watching the AFL Grand Final on TV, it's halftime. Trailer for TFA comes on. Nothing new, but it's a new mix-started with that footage looking out over Starkiller Base that was spoiled in the Japanese TV spot, basically it was all Teaser 2 footage but with Kylo igniting his saber in the forest and the inner-cockpit shot of Poe, both from Teaser 1.

    So, yeah. That was exciting.

    I had it confirmed as well from friends who watched the Aussie rules grand final that there was indeed a tv spot during halftime.
    Am watching the Phantom Menace now on channel 7 to see if it is shown during the movie.
    Awesome that the saga will be shown over 6 weeks on tv in the lead up to TFA, more chances of seeing something related!

    Regardless if it is the same or not, that is pretty huge for Australia to have a tv spot air this far out!!
    With the NRL final tomorrow, one would hope it would be screened then too!

    I might be going crazy, but I believe this footage does not have the awful teal and orange color correction the first two teasers had!
    The shot of Poe in the xwing doesn't half that awful green tint anymore. (except the bottom half, but I think that's due to the angle it was filmed at).
    I'm happy now.
