I just watched it like five times before I even focused on what you were talking about. Just goes to show I got it bad. But yes I do see what you mean here and it does look better IMO. Good eye.

This has nothing to do with anything but i was looking up one of the old marvel comics to post a reply in another thread and saw some of the old covers again which, funny enough, are relevant to recent things mentioned for TFA

Leia ... having to choose her path after RotJ
    [IMG]

Kylo talking about the last jedi
    [IMG]

maybe some of the current staff on the movie were fans of the series as well? :)

So the 5min special after ESB was a combination of Comic Con interviews and teaser 2 plus BTS footage, nothing new but still interesting to watch Star Wars coming back to TV to promote a new movie. The only thing I noticed was the You have that power to line was edited over Kylo Ren in the woods.
Interesting enough the OT TV screenings dominate the important group of 14-49 age by far, people are still interested in Star Wars.

Reminds me of my sister (30 years old). She recently told me she hates Star Wars... she said she only likes movies for "grown ups", while wearing a dress with the Little Mermaid printed all over it.

It's probably because her husband spends a fair bit of time playing X-Wing...

No the dress is more like this:

And the X-wing playing is more like this:

It's funny... because I got him started with X-wing, and now he plays it more than I do.

I just got done reading the Luke Skywalker journey to TFA book... fun! Waaay better than aftermath. Seeing Sarco Plank in action is very cool.

I've also been reading the Leia book with my stepdaughter @ bedtime, not bad as well. I still have to read the Lost Stars book, but this is a good hold over until trailer comes out :)

Good to know. I read Aftermath and enjoyed it more for the interludes. I have been meaning to pick up the others and haven't had the chance yet. Seems like I definitely need to.

Definitely do... though in hindsight these books sure ate a whole in my wallet! But it's worth it, I love the covers & the artwork inside. I too enjoyed the interludes... I think aftermath would have benefited from accompanying illustrations. The presentation of the Luke, Leia, & Han books are very sleek... not exactly Star Wars-esque, but they feel very fancy & unified.

One thing I really love about the J to TFA books is that they really nailed the characters, and reference the films in clever ways. Before I read them I was like "oh man, do I really need to know more about what these characters were up to between films? Well, in many ways it's more than that :) I really love the exploration & development of the big three... can't wait to read the Han book.

I think aftermath would have been a better book if it was about the big 3.

Soooooooooooooo.... it's been a painfully slow news week again, it seems like the forums have kind of died down a bit... I sure do hope this is the calm before the storm :/

As far as Aftermath goes, I was expecting more in terms of continued battle between the rebels and the remaining part of the Empire then what we got. Having this with the big 3 in it (even if only briefly) would have definitely made it better. I was hoping for more on Jakku but from what I hear we get that in Lost Stars.

Definitely a slow week. People are starting to get grumpy again like other lulls in the past. Only 74 days and all will be good.

More like 72/73... Remember that a lot of Europe will have it 2 days before the US, and even though Australians and New Zealanders only get it a day before, their time zones are more than 12 hours ahead. So by the time people in these other countries have seen the film... it will be about mid-day on the 16th of December.

If I can get to a midnight screening (here in Australia), I'll come on here and let you know all about it... in a Spoiler tagged thread of course (I'm not that horrible)

There are also confirmed 7:00pm screenings on the Thursday in the US:
