What I find interesting is a line by Krennic in R1 at some point in the film and I thought … err.. no that's not true. I'm paraphrasing, but he does mention something along the lines of " the last remainders/remnants of the Jedi have been destroyed" referring to the destruction of the city in Jedha. But I thought no. Unless, Krennic was not high up enough in the rankings of the Empire to know that in fact there is another temple, the first Jedi temple where Luke is at. So, I see where you're coming from. Don't know if anyone else caught this.

Very true as well. But that line really stood out for me. (I think I need to go out and watch it again lol). Maybe I'm reading too much into it or Luke has found something very valuable to the First Order wants or wants to avoid that the Empire didn't have. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Maybe even the jedi had lost the first temple, too, at some point which is why at that point no one is aware either.

I think you are reading too much into it. Krennic is simply wrong. We know that at the point he says it Obi-Wan and Yoda are still alive, but of course he cannot know that, so his statement is merely based on his limited and incomplete knowledge. Also, there are more remnants left even by the time of the current trilogy beside the 1st Jedi Temple. It has been implied that Luke has been on the hunt for jedi knowledge for many years - example are the 2 seedlings of Force trees he found and gave one of them to Poe's mother. And the search continued as it has been mentioned that he and his nephew Ben continued travelling in search of jedi knowledge...We still don't know why Luke was searching for the 1st jedi temple (presumably on Ahch-to) . This we will surely find out in VIII.

They won't be doing a sizzle reel before they release a trailer first. That's just how it works.

It's never really stated in Aftermath Life Debt that Gallius Rax is human just "pale skin, black hair", he could be a near-human like here for example:
    http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Sly_Moore

    "Species Umbaran"
    "Classification Near-human"

"Near-humans was a term used to refer to species that were closely related to, but still distinct from baseline humans."

I think in the next and final book of the Aftermath trilogy, Empire's End (February 2017), Gallius Rax will be presumed dead in the Battle of Jakku in the crash of his Destroyer and in Episode 8 we will discover that the real name of Snoke is Gallius Rax and that he survived the crash of his Destroyer but was seriously injured and burned.

I'm surprised by how much I'm into the latest MakingStarWars report with the puffins. Sounds like something out of a Hayao Miyazaki film.

I suspect that they have a lot of stuff on the table, but I also think that it won't be nearly as extensive as what they had for The Force Awakens. The reason that so much was spoiled about TFA ahead of its release date was due to a massive leak of documents that happened around the time that Harrison Ford was injured, and security has tightened significantly since then. I'd expect to see more stuff like Mr. Skywalker's Puffins than stuff like "Kylo Ren silences Han Solo's conversation forever".
