Yeah. Some of the reactions are beyond everything I can think of.
No need to emphasize I don't get Zeroh and similar lot either. What's the deal with them? Unhealthy attention seeking, I guess. Or it has something to do with the YTube click count (just guessing there - I'am a complete moron when it comes to that stuff)

 

Those were the days. It is crazy how ridiculous things got during those times.

 

That's a great summary. I can even flesh it out a little more.

The guy on the JCF took all the MSW stuff and organized in an easy to read summary. He claims that he actually had a Disney lawyer chase him off the forums due to that. I think he may still be there although under a different name.

The whole "Cameo Luke" thing was pretty interesting how it evolved. Around February of 2015 is when MSW started to get the legitimate stuff. Not the "evil Luke" stuff people like to still bring up, but the real spoilers...including Luke only appearing at the end.

One day Jason was going through it from beginning to end, and it became apparent that Luke was really only in one scene (the Force Back scene wouldn't be figured out until later). That was information that would melt down the internet so they didn't post it. But not long after that some site (can't remember who) posted that "Luke isn't in the movie as much as people think". I don't know if they knew the truth of "Cameo Luke" or just heard of his limited screen time.

So to clarify what they meant in that statement, MSW posted the infamous Cameo Luke spoiler and the internet blew up.

And that reddit guy 00-----00 claimed there would be a new trailer at SDCC 15 and that Jason would be "f'ed" over what it showed. He disappeared after the BTS reel just confirmed more of the spoilers.

 

Now I remember why I stopped listening to Collider. It was that Snoke stuff. So, they've recanted?

 

Yup, quite some time ago.

 

If you're talking about pre-TFA Snoke stuff by Collider - I do remember the first Collider's review of TFA and Jon Campea's angry 5 minutes long rant about the people that had fed them with the fake Snoke info.

I can listen to them from time to time, especially Campea who sounds the most rational among them.

 

To be fair, they did hilariously double and triple down on the Snoke claim. Even after the TFA art book leaked out with an actual picture of Snoke they said it wasn't that but instead was the Plagueis fan art from 2008.

 

Oh, I didn't know all of the specifics. As far as I remember Campea ranted about the source who deceived them about the Snoke looks. And it seemed he was genuinely pissed about it.

 

Campea has left Collider several months ago. He now has his own YouTube channel.

 

How many times he already did it?

 

Maybe because they like it so much. To be honest a poster can't be any better. It's so great.

 

What can I do but wholeheartedly agree. The best SW poster until today (at least for me).

 

RLM isn't more critical. They are hyper critical. There's a difference. Neither is "bad." Both can be annoying.
It'd be just as silly to suggest them in the pockets of WB trying to damage Disney's big money maker LFL with their "Worst movie ever" slop.

They are fans. They buy into silly fan theories just like everyone else does. It's not a grand conspiracy

But seriously, it's my favorite as well.
I have it nice and framed on the wall.

 

If I ever cared about the negative ratings, I would have left internet for good a long time ago.

I'am on the same page on the Colliders matter as well. Just fans - like you, me, everybody else. Nothing nefarious behind it.

 

Oh it just cracks me up the pettiness of neg repping over poster opinions is all.

But yeah, basically everyone who isn't a LFL employee like Pablo is just a fan. Some much more connected than others and get legit "scoops" because LFL want to curry favor with the fans. How better to do so than to make normal fans who happen to have a YT following seem like they're in on it. It could be one of us some day!

They get excited. Get carried away. But they do have good scoops too. You aren't around and friends with who they are without some lol.

Until I see a black cloaked ceremony with Campea and Harloff sacrificing Sam Witwer to Pablo Hidalgo....they're just excited fans.

Pro when it came time to finalizing everything for print, that was the only "finalized" offical artwork for the movie.

 

Remember, the book is also being released AFTER the movie to avoid potential spoilers. The same thing it seems is being done for the cover art. It could just be the announcment/temporary art until the book is officially released because they intend to put some art on the cover that could spoil parts of the movie.
