How awesome could Revenge of the Sith had been if it hadn't been so rushed

I love him yet the comic version is much more credible than the crazy imortal cartoon one.

No I'm afraid nothing in the comics pre TFA is considered canon so unless we see any characters like Durge, Thrawn, Mara Jade, Dash Rendar ect appear in some new comics, they don't exist at all.

All of them are awesome EU characters my friend. The Thrawn trilogy of novels is very good and it introduced us to great characters such as Grand Admiral Thrawn and Mara Jade who was a deadly enemy for Luke yet then she ended up being his wife and the mother of his son Ben. Those novels were sweet and it was thanks to them that we got SW back after it was almost dead and forgotten.

"Revenge of the Sith" was awesome, like Lucas' other five films. And since it was NOT a stand alone film, I find it hard to agree with your argument.

True but while RotS is by far my fave of the PT, it puts the first two prequels to shame that I wish they weren't rushed. They could have been just as good as episode III if they were better written and directed. However, thats not to say I didn't like some of the ideas from I and II but those good ideas that were there could have had potential to be more interesting enough to be further explored and developed by being written carefully with rich detail that we haven't seen before in a SW film.

As much as I love all three of the Prequel movies, my favorite is "Attack of the Clones".

Frankly, I thought Lucas did an very good job in exploring the themes of his saga with all six movies. Could he have gone further? Perhaps. But only in novels. I have never seen a motion picture that was able to explore themes on the same level as any well written novel. To expect this to happen strikes me as a little illogical.
