I think the attack plan in this one is just worst.

    Haha, thanks.

Precisely. When I was in my teens (I know, so long ago:p) I really could relate to Luke during the beautifulmostamazingsceneincinematichistory when he is watching the twin suns set on Tatooine because he wanted adventure and life to start. That was me. Right there. It was then that I realized how much of my life could be reflected in his. It was astounding.

Right. Though there has to be a sense of logic in the moment and some that extends through the whole narrative otherwise it will fall apart. But once you can relate or understand the characters, the more willing you are to go wherever they go.

You aren't a fan of hundreds of Jedi just appearing to fight?

I'm sure it seemed different from their point of view. Jedi like looking at things from different POV's than most normal people. :p

    +1

    Really stretching things

SKB weak spot was only vulnerable by multiple explosions on the inside. And the turbolasers in the trench indicated that the FO was aware it was a weak point likely to be attacked.

Ha Ha true my friend but isn't it the just the same as saying Pokemon is for kids or the Mcdonalds happy meal is for kids? I really don't think they have to say that the Mcdonalds happy meal is just for kids for people to understand it. But I just said that joking my friend and it was not meant to get you angry. As an act of friendship, here's a nice pic of Salacious Crumb from me to you!

Well remember they over estimated their abilities and had some randos come and fight who seemed ill prepared in hindsight and vastly outnumbered as there should have been a THOUSAND Jedi instead of simply hundreds .

It actually makes quite a bit of sense. Han first indicates that he can get Finn through the shields and onto the planet. But when asked how, he tells Leia, "If I told you, you wouldn't like it." When Han tells Finn mid-flight how they are getting in, Finn is shocked and looks a bit unnerved. Why? Because to enter a planets atmosphere at light speed, then to come out light speed before crashing into the planet requires an amazing pilot, co-pilot, and a nav computer unlike anything on most star ships. How do you think Han did the Kessel Run in 12 parsecs?

So based on the fact that despite Han seemingly knowing what he was doing, they barely made it and nearly crashed into the surface. Had the X-Wings attempted it, my guess is most of them would have died in the process and the Resistance would now be toast. Yes the X-Wings may have been smaller and more maneuverable, but it still requires a pilot with the experience to perform the stunt. Poe was likely the only one of the bunch that could have pulled it off.

And I think the plan "being the worst", was the point. It was thrown together in like 5 minutes, with limited data. If it was not for Han & Chewie and their improvising with the explosives, the entire plan would have been for not. It was a half assed plan, and it was meant to come across that way.

And they shouldn't of started a fight in a kill box.
