IMDB Ratings

From objective point of view, TFA is fun and entertaining. IMDB's user rating is not credible just for the fact that on the very first screening date (December 14th) there were 700 people who gave this movie 1 out of 10. Obviously there are, and always will be, a lot of trolls.
Even if you hated it, you cannot deny that the movie is really fun and visually magnificent.
It's okay if you give it 5/10 or 6/10, not everyone were satisfied, just like with any other movie or product.

But anyone who rates it with 1 out of 10 is just being pretentious or just hates SW anyway.

 

IMHO, critical reviews add little value when box office results show how people have voted with their pocket books. I don't really like Transformer movies, but I can't deny hoards of movie goers spend a ton on them.

Compound this with Star Wars fans who see each movie multiple times, and you realize the Star Wars franchise plays by different rules.

 

In my opinion those rates are NOT a BIG DEAL.Everyone has the right to point out what they feel.The real thing is that the movie had do something wonderful....It bring a NEW trilogy(I'm happy about this)and is making people talk about it everyday bad or good....

 

I gave it a 9 at IMDB.

But its hard to give just 1 for a movie. I hate AOTC and ROTS but I did not give then 1, for example.

 

we live in a Binary age.
like or dislike.
thumbs up or thumbs down.

while i love the film, i can see that quite a few people did not.
and they are entitled to their opinions. and i respect their opinions.

however, that's not enough for them!
in order to share their hatred of the film with the world, they must make their voice somehow louder.
they wear their hatred as a badge.

thus, you get the click-bait articles. "let's face it, guys! this film sucks!"
that kinda crap.

and, rating the film a 1/10. i mean, disliking the biggest thing in the world? much cooler than liking it, right?

the more popular the film becomes, the more backlash it will see.
and, sadly, that has little to do with the movie.
and more to do with the Binary age we live in.


but, when all is said and done, the 1/10 scores won't make any difference to me.
i was born before the Binary age. and, have the good sense to watch a movie, and decide whether i like the movie.
imagine that!!!

I'm laughing to myself.
a 1/10 film... i actually can't think of one.
i never saw the human centipede movies. or pluto nash. or some of the others that might actually deserve that rating...
